I have a hot coffee.

After I put new oil in yesterday, I did 8000rpm skids. That's the usual way to "bed in" the oil, isn't it?

Yes, same way you bed air filters and timing belts in.

I'm at work. But I like my work.

Yes, same way you bed air filters and timing belts in.

I like driving through a dusty paddock to bed in my air filters. Just to make sure they get used to it.

I drive around with my clutch half engaged while revving my engine hard.. best way to bed a clutch in... you also get a nice aroma from this.. kind of like adding hops late/end of the boil (may or may not smell the same).

"What are the hazards?
Insufficient supply of lubricant to the 6MT gearbox main-shaft may cause, in the longer term (greater than 10,000 kms), fretting of the 3rd and 4th gear components and eventual failure of the 3rd driving and driven gears.
What are the defects?
A limited number of 6MT gearboxes were produced without a necessary lubrication supply passage. The lubrication passage is designed to ensure longevity of the transmission, and no damage is sustained during the short term as a result of the passage not being present."

From Aeks link.... LOL what a fail.

Walts the neighbourhood hoon, people will be cursing your name.

Just sent my scammer a reply email. Used Lukeosh's email as a template but changed it a bit to make it applicable to my scammer. Also fixed up the grammatical and spelling errors :P

Thank you for your interest in this car. I want to make sure the Outback goes to someone who appreciated it and understands what a fantastic automobile they are buying. The awesome power of the Outback is known to blow the minds of people who get behind the wheel.

I am interested to hear more about your offshore expeditions as I too am a seaman of sorts, most may refer to me as a pirate given that I have a wooden peg leg, and eye patch and my trusty first mate the parrot!
I do seem to be going through parrots at a rapid rate lately; the pirate parrot shop that supplies them to me suggests that I should feed them... what are your thoughts on feeding pirate parrots?

Due to the nature of my work I do not have access to PayPal, those pesky navy men are always trying to board my ship which means that I am always on the run and very rarely able to get back to shore to buy another bottle of internet fluid, PayPal as you know is very thirsty (not as thirsty as those starving kids in central Africa... but still pretty thirsty).

Do you have another preferred method of payment? If you wire $11,000 directly into my bank account I can arrange for one of my onshore allies to drive the car to whatever location best suits you, I did forget to mention in the add that the Outback is amphibious and capable of intercontinental sea travel. You can understand how I could overlook this as this option would be classed as a selling point rather than a value add option.

Please consider my offer and notify me of your intentions

Cheers

Would be pretty funny if he's actually not a scammer. He would have a massive "WTF" moment.

Even if they aren't legitimate, you are essentially doing the same thing. I'd be careful what you write down, over the phone I say all sorts of morgan, but never write it down.

Pretty sure you can sign on the back of the card and allow someone else to pick the package up on your behalf.

They wouldn't contact authorities though. I keep a paper trail of their emails too..
I get what you're saying though..

Funny thing is, if he gave me his paypal deets, I would actually have NO idea how to take all his money...
