Bent sway bar links anyone?

Posted Image

This was with it set on medium. I believe the previous own had them set up in the wrong position which caused them to bend.

Now fitted on hard with some whiteline alloys links with nolathane bushes at manage to stumble across at Pick'n'Payless.

Posted Image

Handles so much better now and so much flatter in the rear...

Next step is to get one of these floor bars or try and make up one

Posted Image Posted Image

Also my rubber throttle body coupler had a small leak causing blow by all over the engine...

First time taking the TMIC off and all I can say what a PITA of a job, I even had take off the strut bar as well which also was a PITA and i didnt realise how heavy the TMIC was! After about 1hr i got it off and what do I find on the underside, quality SAMCO silicone hoses and highflow y-pipe.. No wonder why the Hyperflow TMIC isnt cheap!

The culprit!

The new silicone coupler vs OEM rubber

Had to trim off about 10mm but all in all a much fit n more importantly no leaks. Forgot to take pics

Hahaha, I used to hate taking the TMIC off too! But once you are practiced, it takes no time at all!

The stock TMIC is piss easy to remove. Can do mine in 2 minutes now!

...it's also tiny

:(

That old throttle body pipe is munted! New silicon one looks the goods.

I think I'll have to try my RSB on the hard setting now. Medium feels pretty decent so hard must be epic! Do you get any creaking from the back end? I get heaps but never greased up the bushes so I'll have to give that a go...

Hards is alot snappier than medium which i like, less work is required with sharp turns

I only had some spray on lithium grease laying around so I gave the bushes a lil spray and seams to have no creaking.. YET...

I'd go the Superpro's - onto my 4th set of the Whiteline's...
Plus you can get the Superpro parts separate for later on when needed.

Edit - What price can you get them for?

Well seeing as GSL Rallysport is having 20% off EOFY Sale which ends today @ 5pm

Superpro Roll Centre Kit - TRC0002 - $180.40
Superpro Steering rack bushes (30mm passenger) SPF1972K - $14.98

Anyone that is looking at those whiteline ones I'd seriously consider these superpro kits

With a bit of practice, the TMIC becomes a snack to put on and take off ONCE you have silicone hoses on.

FMIC is even easier to take off the throttle body. just sayin' :P

Update... For the last few days I've been busy developing an underbody/sump guard panel based off Lefty's DIY

http://ozfoz.com/for....php?f=29&t=635

This is Lefty's

I chose to use 3mm aluminium sheeting (2mm would have been suffice) & only cut one end to add more protection for the headers

Sarcasm check wasn't activated on your iPhone, Chris?

Under tray... I appreciate the effort you've gone into the construction of it, but it remains to be asked.......WHY?

Ya the plastic juan.
From a concrete storm water drain..! It got ripped out from underneath. Fumoto is still in tact and I've heard those have been ripped out by speed bumps.

Did it get thrown out?!

I will eventually make an insurance claim and get everything replaced brand new but thanks anywho :)

I knew there was sarcasm involved, just thought I'd respond anyway...

Reason for the under tray... Pretty much the same reason Morgan mentioned... Too protect the sump n headers... Plus where I stay when I go to the snow, there's a step driveway which I always seemed to scrap so it's also a precautionary measure...

I ripped out my OEM plastic one when I last went duning with shiv... Collected a shit load of sand n the weight eventually tore it off...

Horses for courses.

I personally wouldn't be dune bashing a lowered Foreseter... 18" tyres with low profiles don't bag very well, and run a very high risk of either bogging due to too much air in the tyres, or rolling the tyres off the bead of the rim.

I suppose some protection is better than none. Plastic tray is lolworthy, I admit.

My only concern is heat retention, and I guess for you it's not a big deal as you won't be pushing your engine hard, whereas mine, I'll be mechanically raping and violating it with 22+ psi, so heat retention is a no no.

The Foz was running the stock suspension/rims when I went with Shiv
