Marketing hype.

I'm going to disagree until you can come up with something a little more substantial than a marketing gimmick diagram written in a foreign language.

Looks pretty good, but I have to wonder how much heat is going to be bouncing from the headers, off your under tray and back up into the top mount and everything else...

Unless you've changed them since the first on-car pic, you have about 1mm of slit to pull hot air through, compared to the beatrush ones (which are questionable to begin with) yours will do nothing at all.

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

Looks good!

Do you have access to a router/trimmer and a straight cut bit?

Nice effort Chris.

May I suggest louvre-ing the slots as it will look a bit neater.
This will help pull air from the engine bay, whether or not it makes a difference is another thing.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

How would you louvre the slots with hand tools, Jase?

(my suggestion was going to be tidy them with a router)

Cut a C shape on put a small fold in it or hand beat it with a ball pien hammer and a sand bag.

I know this isnt a proper scientic testing but here is what someone did with a beatrush underpanel on a S15

Thanks Jase. I actually have since taken it off to do that... I just wanted to make sure everything fitted up correctly...

I do have a router laying around here but not sure how to louver with a router... Youtube or I may do what you suggested to Adam

Well as per Jase's recommendation I made some louvers with a block of 1x2 cut to length of the slots and wacked the block with a mallet til I was happy with them...

I decided to paint it with hi temp flat black paint... Of coarse I lightly rubbed it back with 800 grit n cleaned it down with wax n grease remover then hit it with some etch primer let that dry for an hr then hit it with a few coats of the black...

The final product

I'm pretty happy with it minus the two holes I misaligned at the front...

I'd give it a go, but I hate taking Adams off when we do the oil. So I don't want one haha

Surprisingly it's actually lighter n a lot easier to take off than the oem plastic crap... Only 4 hex head bolts compared to the 4 bolts plus numerous shitty plastic clips that tend to break

If you do end up making one use 2mm as 3mm was hard to bend

For a total cost of less than $70 for materials n extras for my folding bench I think it's a good job done...

I've got one of the Beatrush ones off I.M, whoever had it had cut out a hole and put nut-serts in to hold a plate that covered up where the oil filter is.
Yellow man magic it is.

2002 Outback - it's gone...

Adam, the forester one has a swivel flap thing which gives access to the sump plug and filter.

Hope that piece of information was helpful to you.

No it wasn't, Morgan.

Adam has a subaxtreme sump guard. And I own a Liberty. So irrelavant info is irrelavant!

:D
