Not much of an update more of something thats been bothering me that I had to fix..

Back when I put the heating pads in my seats i managed to screw up n damage my centre console when installing the switch...

I wanted to go with a black centre console from a late model GD impreza n found one for a bargain off a guy on ozfoz..

This time round I decided 2 trim down the heating switch instead of the console and got it to fit as if it was OEM.. Ties in perfect just need to do a bit of a Frankenstein mod to fit the higher arm rest back in...

SOMETHINGS JUST NOT RIGHT!

warranty is not covering the damage as it doesnt look like normal wear and tear... Rob (ADS) advised I should look at replacing the whole box/diff with a 2nd hand one as he has concerns that the diff may have damaged the transmission...

He wants to charge $550/600 for labour plus fluids... Do I just get him to do it as the car is already there or get it towed ($100 to $200) to my uncles old workshop in Ingleburn to get it done n get my hands dirty over a few weekends with the mechanic n labour wont cost me an arm n a leg?

Found a full box replacement for $1150 with 3 mths warranty from sgs autoparts...

I noes... Had a 'fight' with the harness in the write-off and find out I'm probably going to need a Vipec anyways.

Yeah the lights look maaaad!

Are you only going to tint the Red areas?

Good news she's on her way to being repaired.

The removal of most of those stickers will honestly be an improvement :)

I want to try and get rid of the chrome look.. unfortunately its not possible to open them up or i havent found anyone else that has tried... If all else fails the whole light will be tinted a similar shade to the jdm ones...

A few have tried to get in them but failed miserably.

Best option is to get some tinting film and wrap them. Easily removable too.

The tails are much thinner. The plastic just snaps.

Got my car back on Saturday after destroying my diff.

ADS refused to fix it under warranty so under recommendation from old mate at Japwrecker I had my car towed over to All gear transmission/Subguru for $80

Got a replacement transmission with 107k fro SGS auto parts for $1195 delivered with 3mths warranty

Isaac & Af are top blokes and knows there stuff. Been working on Subaru's and other performance cars all their lives so they them inside and out. Issac previously worked at Autotech Engineering for a few yrs and 3 yrs ago took over All gear. They have plans to move into new better workshop within the next yr.

Workmanship was top notch, Issac even went over other stuff in the car that i need to take care of. In the end only $450 inc. oils for labour.

I highly recommend these guys for any type work... He recommended in future if need be I could get a box built with upgraded clutch packs n gears for under $2K
