It's going to be a sad day when David Attenborough shuffles off the mortal coil. His voice is synonymous with wildlife docos.

Sig worthy.

I was actually thinking that exact same thing before Brett. He just does them so well, it would be hard to imagine someone else taking his place. Hopefully we get a few more years of docos out of him yet!

85 he is! shit! I was thinking he was just turning 80!

Same/same. I've just finished downloading ep.4 of the Frozen Planet series.

He's looking _very_ old, poor bugger. Does a great job too.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

David Attenorough: (no offence to christians)

My response is that when Creationists talk about God creating every individual species as a separate act, they always instance hummingbirds, or orchids, sunflowers and beautiful things. But I tend to think instead of a parasitic worm that is boring through the eye of a boy sitting on the bank of a river in West Africa, [a worm] that's going to make him blind. And [I ask them], 'Are you telling me that the God you believe in, who you also say is an all-merciful God, who cares for each one of us individually, are you saying that God created this worm that can live in no other way than in an innocent child's eyeball? Because that doesn't seem to me to coincide with a God who's full of mercy'.

Sig worthy.

That's a great quote Josh. I'm pretty indifferent to religion. I'm happy for others to believe in whatever they want to believe. But stories like that are why I side with science (not Scientology). Evolution is pretty hard to ignore with the scientific evidence that backs it up.

Sig worthy.

@ Josh - how do you keep your fermenter at a good temp? I've got mine sitting in the empty bath with a damp towel draped over it and an ice brick on the lid. Seems to be keeping it around 18-20*C. Man I hope this one turns out ok.

Sig worthy.

Hahaha Oh this is bringing back memories! yes I did that.. I then turned to using my kegerator to deal with the temp because you can set the thermo on it to upto about the mid 20's, I set mine to about 18 and fermented in that.
can also get a thermo mod for about $50 to fit to an old fridge of any description and use that. Summer is simply too hot in my house to ferment naturally :(
