Cracks could be in the copper in the leads.

Ren, Coil on plug for Brettcoon - no leads.

Brett, just have a good look over each one, all the casings etc, see if you can see any cracks at all.

I really cant see any cracks anywhere on the whole assembly.

Yes mate Coil on plug. Sorry everything ive ever read about them refers to them as coilpacks. I havent isolated which cylinder is missing. This is all unchartered territory for me Jase. I dont look under my bonnet much, unless Im cleaning it, or changing the oil/filters. I dont have a lot of tools either, so no multimeter or anything like that. When you say "wires" are we talking the wires leading into the plug/harness?

What a **** car.

Thanks for your valuable input. Remind me how your car is running again?

Check the leads.

:D

Adam i hope you make it to MDSC. I owe you many slaps.

Ive just noticed some white chalky residue in 3 of the 6 "plug holes"(i dont know the fancy car term for the hole that the plug goes in to).

I said g h e y but apparently thats censored 0.o
Its a pretty flawed way to make it really, when the coil pack goes you have to replace the lot, not just the pack but all the leads... Just my personal opinion, just doesn't make sense.
Unless you can purchase singular ones?

Mine isnt running, so its g h e y as well.

Socket normally... It is like an acid buildup on battery terminals?
