Rendo. Can replace one if needed. Much better than plug, lead, coil in my opinion :)

@ Brett

I would say that + is 12v supply from the EFI relay, G is earth and IB is the trigger from the ECU.

You could put it all back together and with the engine idling (misses at idle yeah?) unplug each injector (you could unplug the coils but injectors are better if the plugs can be gotten to) to isolate the miss.

Then leave the plugs in and swap the missing cylinders coil for another.
If the miss follows the coil, its a dud coil. If not swap the spark plug and see if the miss follows that.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Saw an XV today, they don't look too bad when the owners don't ruin them with stickers and DRLs.

Shaz will quit smoking when Rendawg loses his virginity.

It actually idles fine. The misfire is only under load. I can cruise along with no issues.

Neither the plugs or the injector leads are in an accessible place when the engine is back together again. Mainly due to the Intake running over the top of the engine to the manifold.

Sig worthy.

Bosch FSA.

Digital ocilloscope (fast!), component tester, secondary and primary ignnition, OBDII and EOBD scan tool and a 4 gas analyser.
And a database of parts listings that would blow your mind.
All rolled into one.

IT ROCKS!!!

see this is why I normally just take it to someone to fix. I quite simply dont know enough about it. All the RB specialists are on the other side of the city from me which is why i havent had it looked at sooner. Think I might just have to bite the bullet and take it far away. That is assuming I can put it back together again and get it working how it was.

Ive got to do a beer tasting at The Old Brewery this arvo. I really cant be arsed though.

Sig worthy.

They are a great bit of gear.
That one is worth nearly $30k IIRC.

Nice.

I have a Coonara insert that sits in the fireplace.

One thing though, I bought mine as it does not have any fire bricks to crack as it uses a heavier plate steel instead. Its 13 years old and the plate at the top of the fire box is still as good a new.

Is there any way you can test resistance of the coils?

Yeah the fire bricks cracking is probably a problem. But we can't really afford to go for something much more expensive! Hopefully we move out before it happens ;)
