Cops wrote the wrong date on someone I know's ticket... can prove they were not at that location at time of said ticket... said ticket was paid, but due to the erroneous date marking - deemed overdue, and as such it is now a court appearance offence.
Pretty poor form. Also, the kicker is that the date is Valentine's Day...

Ticket was out of date by over a month, so it wasn't a digit slip... if it was an accident you'd expect a day/month to be out... not both.
He was speeding, so the ticket should still have to be paid.

Not trying to get out of the ticket, simply want to pay it and move on - the issue is the erroneous date has made the ticket be deemed overdue and sent to court.
