I decided to go for the 2.7L. I've had a TT in the past (my Legacy) and swore black, blue, and every other colour in the rainbow that I'd never ever ever ever ever own a twin turbo again.

And there were people on the Australian Land Rover Owners Club (aulro) forums complaining of various problems with the 3.0 litre, so I decided to play it safe. From my research, the 2.7L is a stout little motor, and very tunable should I need more power later, which is on the cards.

From driving them, I found the 2.7L gutless compared to the 3.0L. But yes, the 3.0L weren't as reliable. Fucking wicked engine in the Jaguar XF's though.

CLOSE ENOUGH!

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

140kw vs 177kw, with tuners getting 180-190kw out of the 2.7. I think they go pretty damn good for what they are. You should try driving a non turbo, diesel landcruiser, 3.5 tonnes, and only 85kw ;)

Not really any traffic, bro. Takes me about 45 mins to an hour to do the 60k depending on if I use toll roads or not.

See I travel about 55km one way to work, but it is on a train. Sydney public transport does suck, but on a train, I can relax and not have to think... just watch some anime for an hour...

I think it was more torque. Once the twins kicked in, ZOOOOOMMMMMMMM! I think had a similar experience driving a 10 year old paddock-bashing Defender. :P

Doing it all yourself?

Did you want to borrow the engine hoist?

Too spenno?

I love living in Sydney. Only live two suburbs away from Wetherill Park, which is about 10kms.

I drive 10kms to the office, but I am a travelling salesman, so I drive about 100kms a day average.

Bus stop about 100 metres from my front door. Train is 1.5 kms away. Walk to schools. Walk to shops (300m) Walk to doctors (200m).

Better than living in bumcrack Idaho, or Cuntberra.

Sure, there are shadyasfuck suburbs in Sydney, but loving where I am now, and a little saddened to be moving back to mum's.

Having said that, I'm sure there are areas all around 'stray that has shadyasfuck suburbs.
