Changing to westnet for email has been awesome. LunarPages got to the point where we couldn't send anything to a government or big business as it was getting permanent blocks. Haven't had one drama with westnet.

Awesome.

Soon to be rid of Tesltra, completely!

I'm ok with talking to people (phft, that should be obvious!) but 'managing' people is a whole other story. If I ask someone to do something and they don't do it right I have trouble hiding my disappointment in them. I also hate people who want praise for doing a good job which apparently you're supposed to do too.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Oh man, this is what im going through, and I also work with someone that constantly needs his ego scratched, he is the only person I can't stand working with.

You don't do any good work!

....actually, you do, you are awesome Adam! :D

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

Why do you need praise?

I know when i've done a good job and i'm happy with myself, I don't need someone giving me a scratch behind the ear saying "whose a good boy, you are....yes you are..!!".

In my mind, keeping your job and the occasional pay rise should be enough to know you're doing a good job.

Oh man, this is what im going through, and I also work with someone that constantly needs his ego scratched, he is the only person I can't stand working with.

Luckily my boss is shares my view. We had a new guy start in our team who was like that. He lasted 3 months before he found himself on another contract, out of our team.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

A lot of people are different on that front. That's where 'managing' people is a pain in the arse. Some people need/want the praise, some don't. You work out pretty quickly how to treat people.

Is your industry one where staff are easily replaced?

Pay rise. Lol.

But seriously, I was just joking. Recognition sometimes doesn't go astray though.

I would love to get rid of this guy, but at the same time, it was because of him I pushed to get promoted, I had all but given up until I found out he wanted the roll, then I got motivated, because I can bet you that if he had got the roll, everyone would have quit.

Lots of workers but there is a LOT of shit out there...so yes easily replaced but we generally try and ignore resumes and employ people who've been referred to us by someone we know.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

You just reminded me about something I bought years and years (2003?) ago, when I went to Japan.
Didn't even know much about Subaru's and whatnot at the time.
Has been sitting in cupboard, forgotten, for years.
It is remote controlled, but I have no idea where the remote is..
