URGENT HELP NEEDED

Doing the brake upgrade on the liberty today, going up to 4pots.

They're all connected and all the pistons move nice. As far as I an tell the fronts are bled all the way free. But the brake pedal still sinks to the floor. I have no idea what to do right now. I've done brake upgrades before but never hit this problem. When I get the misses to pump the brakes, I feel the lines go hard so they are delivering pressure and there is fluid coming out when I'm bleeding, but I don't know what else to do!

Will bleeding the rear help? I've only changed the fronts over

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

She works at Bootleg, so she's a captive audience.

"She has a great arse"

go go go

Funny thing is, I told them they have to come with me to check her out, and when I first walked in this bird wearing a bandana and a lisp came over to chat. They were mortified and thought it was who I was talking about. Hahaha.

I thought that was the sort of thing you digged

Stuff goes here

Sounds like you might have a big air pocket still in the brake system Ian..

Perhaps try re-bleeding. Are you pumping with nozzle open, then tightening, releasing pedal, reopening nipple, pumping, closing nipple, etc?

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

You start furtherst from the brake cylinder, then work your way closer.

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Been under the dash of B4 investerigating Brant alarm. Looks fairly simple to remove... and if its the cause of my fuel pump/ignition woes, would be sweet justice to piss it off on my own.

I have had that out and re-soldered, which means because I had it disconnected, I must have the master code (booyah), although it still doesn't work anyway :D

Well I have had the battery disconnected on it... where it went into a kind of valet emergency mode. So my code may well be the master. I was worried to try removing it, if it was missing part of the factory loom (some cars the alarm replaces part of the loom) but doesn't seem to be the case on mine. There is a mobile auto electrician in the area if there is a complete disaster anyway haha.

Hey Jason. How you going, boss? Are you back at work or still living it up?

Went back this week to set up for Monday. Grrrr....... I really needed two weeks.

Ok so I've tried a rebleed on it and still the Same problem. I'm completely stumped!!

Normally tech talk is forbidden in the GT but I'll make an exception.

If the pedal is spongy but doesn't sink then there is air in the system.

I the pedal slowly sinks to the floor under light pressure then the master cylinder is forked. (internal leak between primary and secondary circuit) Not uncommon for masters to fail while the system is being bled as the seals are pushed into a part of the cylinder bore that is not used during normal operation. (pedal is pushed further)

Try clamping off all 4 brake hoses near each caliper at the same time (use brake line clamps or vice grips with some cardboard wrapped around the hose to protect it) and see if the pedal firms up. If there is no air in the system the pedal will be rock hard. If it starts to sink under light pressure, get a new master.

If you have replaced all 4 discs and fitted new pads then you may also have a spongy pedal as the pads are not bedded to the discs. If this is the case then the pedal will be rock hard in the above test.

If you are still having dramas.............start a thread. :)

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
