Approach her in a positive way. Don't make it sound creepy. You say you want to continue having a relationship, whether it be friends or whatever, so just start small and see how it evolves. At the end of the day, honesty is the best thing you can do. And if she said your magic staff was 'handsome', then I'm sure she'll want to get to know you better.

 

And to help out with what you've written, I'd say something like this:

I've got three cousins that work down there. One is a labourer, one is a leading hand on the verge of getting higher and the other is just under a leading hand. The business itself isn't owned by them though. The owners are of Italian background. The job I did was concreting and formwork.
