Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Dad has never fallen off...

Got his bike license at 16 :P

He is both lucky and in the minority.

One day I woke up and decided to stop riding, sold both bikes and that was that.

I think sub consciously I knew I was in for a biggie.

Like most, I have visited mates who ride in hospital.

And once at a funeral.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Not sure you can say he's in the minority Jase, that's a bit of an overstatement.

I see so many young fellas flying around wearing t's and boardies.

Looks real cool, but speaking from experience, skin grafts are horrid things.

As Alex said earlier, the right gear can mean the difference between walking away with bruises or weeks in hospital in agony.

.

On the other hand, my mum was 12 when her 16 year old brother was riding through an orange light when a car going the other way jumped the red. He had his 17th birthday in hospital in a coma and died shortly after.

I hate that I never got to meet him and will remember that every day that I ride.

Yo Adam, what year is your bike?

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

2004/2005 I think he said.

The GS500's have been pretty much the exact same in various forms (naked, faired etc) since their first release in 1989.

Yeah... so I didn't read this thread for a while and went with the Ninja 250r... bleh... I like it... good size for me and I think I'll be fine on it... wasn't feeling too confident or comfortable on the gs500... maybe was just me... but I'm going to be riding a ninja 250r soon, when I can pick it up... 2012 model, so quite keen... need gear now...

Haha... thanks mate.. will be better news when the bike is actually mine... LOL!

I did want to go with everyone's good advice on choice of bike, but in the end, I just liked the look and feel of the ninja more...

Congrats Zac!

I checked out the Ninjas today, looked not bad.

Tomorrow hopefully going to check out the cruisers that I posted the other day from Sumoto.

Congratulations on the purchase Zac.

There has been quite a few good words posted in here. Most of them made by people with first hand experience. I myself have taken it aboard and although I already know them all, a little reminder of reality here and there doesn't go astray. Safe riding guys. I'd hate to hear that something bad happened to any one of you.
