Yep. I'm thinking a ~600 cc bike is enough for my first real bike. If I have a bike that can go stupid fast, I will go stupid fast. I need a limiter ![]()

2 thumbs up!
I should just convert to single, right?As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

Hi,
Is there anyone in the club that can identify a vintage motorcycle for me? Some photos were unearthed due to the recent passing of my Nan, and it pictures my Grandfather (whom I never met) with three or four motorbikes. Which were, as I now know, his absolute pride and joy.
Any of you guys into old bikes?
Will try and get the aforementioned image sent to me.
Cheers,
Nik

Where they race bikes or just everyday rider style bikes?

Riding was fun this morning, till i we did a creek crossing and up the steep bank out, and my tappet cover seals popped off. we managed to plug them back in and i was just heaps easy on the bike and rode straight back to base.
looks like my vent line was blocked up from crap in the air box, I was gonna pull it out and clean it last week but i ordered a plastic cover so i can hose the box out, but that never arrived in time. so i just cleaned the air filter i'll go in and order a new seal on Monday. Sucks but it could be worst

You'd love it, they suck on the road but.
Doing 100+km/h on the dirt is heaps crazier then on a smooth road, especially when you gotta try stop quick ![]()

Probably get bored but this is just some of what my mate video'd today, when he was riding behind me. Probably my favourite part was when me and a mate were riding side by side and then got going and left the bloke behind with rock sandwiches ha ha. hopefully get some more go pro footage of other people soon ![]()

Cbf going back through the whole thread but.. Is that a WR250?
I just did the first Service on my bike.. Man its a whole new world lol
oilfilter.. $5 !
Oil... So little of it haha
new Brake Master and Line
new Bars
replaced the front tube.. WHAT A BITCH!
scored a new muddy rear tyre for $25..
spent 3 hours riding down on the paddock getting used to the bike... its good fun!
Just need to replace the front pads cause my brakes are sooooo weak!
I Wouldn't mind a newer dirt bike.. something like a RMZ250 or a WR250
but to be honest.. for <$600 running and all good.. this XL250R is Mad lol
Resell looks to be about $1k for a running example so might make a few bucks and upgrade but right now.. its a bush bike that will see plenty of rough riding haha
Too bad the missus says no about a road bike
oh and you are too right... 100 on the dirt feels SOO bloody quick lol especially when you hit a rabbit hole and your arse is in the air for a second...

Yeah just the curved sticky mount, 2 other dudes had go pro's mounted the same way on their helmets, they do some pretty big jumps and motocross events and havent had any problems with the sticky mounts.
The go pro's even got hit by a few branches through the tight stuff

Took my mates Husaberg 390 out for a ride today, awesome bike with plenty of power for a learner and handles great.

You got balls lol I find the 400 a bit much for my needs. We have all had some hairy moments on it already.. purely due to being new to bikes. . It just wants to throw you off the back with every mis judged bump..
Im happy to stick to the 250 for some time lol

Had a bit of a moment this morning, 140k/h sweeping left turn hit a decent dip I wasn't expecting. The suspension on the Triumph is set pretty stiff too.
Excitement! Lucky there were no cars oncoming.

Yeah being an 08 model its got the lighter alloy frame, which yamaha dirt bikes went to around 06/07 when the frame changed i believe the motors got tweaked a little too, and mine has a Pro circuit full exhaust on it, and re tuned to suit, so mine goes a bit harder then a stocko WR anyway ![]()
Hope you got that on Go-Pro mate!
