HAWT!!!
I should just convert to single, right?As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;
"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

Hi,
So guys, it's a 1937 Empire Star BSA;

Now to find one! Any idea what something like that would be worth?
Cheers,
Nik

??? Not the same year build, but as you said - they've pretty much made the same model for 30 years...
Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Hi,
Yep, that is a far more sought after model though (only from what I've read on BritBike.com) - Good looking out though, that looks awesome!
Some vintage BSA's go for around $5/6K - and they are all learner approved.
So obviously they are all really slow.
Speaking completely hypothetically here, would there be insanity afoot if one were to learn on a vintage bike?
Cheers,
Nik

Ash dropped his bike in the first week of learning on his new bike...but that's OK - that's what learner/restricted bikes are for.
I'd hate for you to buy a good example of that vintage bike then drop it and scratch up or bend the bars and spend the next 6 months looking for a replacement.

Yep, i'm glad I didn't spend to larger amount of money for something I am learning on.

Hi,
I would never be spending over 5/6K
This is the sort of idea that might maybe be being thought about;

(I know that is sold)
Also, having a vintage bike restorer living within five minutes of me kind of puts a SPOONFULL of sense into it?
Cheers,
Nik
I meant more from a practicality as in, are they harder to ride?

Dunno man, it's up to you but my recommendation if you're serious about learning to ride is to get a cheap shitty bike (even a cb125) to learn on and drop as needed.
Half the reason I kept talking Zac and the others out of buying well expensive/desired bikes for learners is for exactly what happened to Ash.

Hi,
Yeah. Understood. Apparently they need a fair force just to start!
Will keep thinking on it. How much did you spend on garments/helmet? Around a grand?
Cheers,
Nik

I bought some good weatherproof reinforced boots only because I ride every day but they would definitely be an optional for a weekend rider.

You would need the right gear to suit that bike though

Hi,
OK. I'm putting this to the back of my mind now and will stew over it.
Thanks heaps for the responses fellas. Considering my disdain for motorcycles, I can't believe how much finding those photos changed my mood.
Cheers,
Nik
