So I just "swung some spanners".
Fuck i hate it. Always have to get at something that is just slightly in a position that you cant get a spanner or a screwdriver on to it. You remove everything else around it, and theres still just one thing that cant be removed preventing you from doing what you need to do.
Im not going to spend $30 on a specific tool that ill probably never use again, just to replace a $13 sensor.

Its done now, and i just hope its fixed my issues. Otherwise i am quite likely to park it up in freo with the windows down and collect my insurance when the local div's thrash and burn it.
