Last time i got paid for 21hrs i got more then double that 
But thats way more then i was on when i was your age Rob. Make sure you do something to forward your career, i remember a few mates were on what seemed good money when i started my apprenticeship. Now they are still on the same money and its shit compared to what im on now, and the money im on now is the lower paying jobs apparently.
Not saying apprenticeships are the be all end all of the world. But putting in the hard yards for your career is easier when your young. Only gets harder the older you get.
