Are we talking about the right thing?
A lane that merges to your lane is fine, as pictured.
I could've sworn Haz is talking about a lane that has an arrow, and they try and push in as they're intention isn't to turn in that direction, they're intention is to cut in front of traffic and proceed straight.
Hahaha, But I totally do see what Ash was trying to say, we put all of the importance on just one religions holidays when not everyone in the country is religious or from that group, yet something that should mean something to everyone such as ANZAC day doesn't get the same kind of treatment.... its a bit one sided.
Fair statement. I agree with the argument to make ANZAC day a public holiday like any other religious public holiday.
They are trying to change the name of Australia Day to Citizen Day. Again, it's all politics.
Only until there is a big enough gap.
It's actually way more annoying/hazardous when people refuse to let you in when you try and merge.
If people aren't doing it to begin with then that wouldn't matter. Fair enough if people make an honest mistake, but to purposely do it to push in is not right on my cards. I'm pretty sure there are laws about it too... It's like when someone goes in a right turn only lane and is the first car at the lights and proceeds straight ahead instead of turning right when the lights go green (but the arrow remains red).
A perfect example of this are the lights to go to Allianz Stadium from Alexandria/Newtown.
