Hi guys do any of you know where the two ground wires go that I have circled and also where the white / grey clip goes and it one has one brown cable going to it? Thanks a million!

Also a map of where all the ground wires go would be great :) Thanks so much

Chris

Hi mate there should be a single earthing cable directly between the 2 points you have highlighted as far as I'm aware. I'll double check on the grey plug when I'm home but I think that might belong to a sensor underneath your alternator. I have a feeling it goes underneath the alternator and there is a small brown plug at the front of the block.

Sorry the grey plug connects to a white plug/blue cable which seems to come from the back of the power steering pump.

The earthing cable straddles between one of the bolts holding the intercooler support to the manifold and behind the washer bottle to a bolt that sits between the two washer bottle bolts. If that makes sense. Exactly where you have circled.

It's just a single blue wire that comes out the back of the power steering pump. It's difficult to get a pic of without pulling things apart.

+1 on upgrading the grounding points! I ran 2 gauge for the main engine to chassis and chassis to battery grounds, then went around and undid all the smaller grounds for lights/ senors, cleaned them, removed the paint underneath them, screwed them back in. The car started quicker and starter motor was quieter, interior lighting and headlights never dimmed, windows went up and down faster.

Black intake piping looks the goods. Better than the chrome IMO :)

Thanks for the info mate I shall have a look after work tomorrow and I shall clean the pumo cause its rather dirty and that might make it more clear to see :)

Do you still have the brandt alarm system in that thing Chris?

If you do, its likely you need the master code to do a reset - if its not that, it may be a module of the alarm has failed, and needs replacing.

Mine needed both of those items at various points - if it needs a new module, better off with a new alarm...

I seem to remember mine made incessant beeping when key was in the on position, with not much else happening. I still had dash lights and things though. If you have nothing with key in the on position, somethings not right. Check all fuses in both the main fuse box under the bonnet and also the one above the accelerator pedal behind the panel.

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it. In process of being stripped and sold off.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon. Scrapped.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. Scrapped.

MY13 BRG, current daily, very nice to drive, small mods to make it even nicer again.

I never had the brandt alarm system on the car cause it is an import and it has not security other than one key :P

And I shall check the fuses tonight and double check the earthing aswell!

Both connections are on but I have no lights on the dash so something else before the starter motor is at play I think :(

So I re did all the earthing connections and re did the battery wires as well and I then check and the main fuse was dead and lucky me I had a spare! And I turned the key and I have lights on the dash and the fuel pump is whiring and all the other good noises but I want to check everything before I turn it over and I will also top up the fluids as well :) So things are looking up
