Might as well be, none of the alarms go off when they need to apparently.

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Brain washed. Your mate, Nik!

Yeah, he's a fuckin' idiot. Always has been. Thinks he's 'food jesus' but he's just another marketing tool and he doesn't even know it. Can't believe Heston sold out as well. That one surprises me way more. And what about all the faggots from masterchef? Where's there apology to farmers? Because of Jamie's amazing initiative, most farmers that get their products processed by a foreign owned plant are literally running at a loss. They are literally working from sun up to sun down and longer to feed people in the country, and THEY ARE PAYING FOR IT.

People need to get their fuckin' heads checked and have a look what is actually happening.

Hockey, Josh!

forking Woolworths, passing that cost on is forking disgusting.

They are passing the cost on THE WRONG WAY.

The cost should be passed on to US, the consumer. WE SHOULD PAY THE FUCKIN' CHARGE.

It's absolutely heinous.

Yep absolutely insane!!!!!

I'm hoping that by doing my fruit and veg with the local guy that it helps the poor Basterds out. But it's probably a drop in the ocean.

I cannot believe he expects the farmers to support a woolworths initiative and support that cubts probably hefty wage.

I liked the dude. Like his shows. But zero respect now.

I might burn all the books I have of his (like ten)

We're buying fruit that would otherwise be destroyed, and the reaction/appreciation from the farmers is gut wrenching. When someone is passionately thanking you for buying a tonne of fruit... you know shit's not going well.

:(

Those apples I've been sharing photos of for instance.

This shit makes me angry.

Apart from making the producers pay, they spin the argument around on them.
Celebrity's have so much influence, and it makes me a bit upset when they do these programs and it hurts people at the bottom of the 'food chain'.

I got a bit caught up in hating him when all the shit came out about him beating his missus and what not. But then I got over it, because it's not like it was ever a real case or anything, so fuck knows if it's true - can't trust those tabloids, but now I'm thinking - can't trust this cunt either!

Yeah that is what I was getting at sorry. Farmers already get raped to fucking shit on produce, passing the cost on to them is just fucked.

Yep. I agree that boycotting Coles/WW is not a real thing, and that behaviours from the consumer need to change, but I disagree that we should ever trust Coles/WW to be the ones manipulating that change. They will never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever do something that would negatively impact on their bottom line.

Yeah that is what I was getting at sorry. Farmers already get raped to forking shit on produce, passing the cost on to them is just forked.

They are creating the argument against the general trend that people are saying they would be happy to pay a little bit more for fresh food.

40c/crate to most consumers would be NOTHING. How often does a consumer buy a crate of lemons? You buy two or three, you get about 30 in a crate. So your UC goes up by about a cent.

Fuckin' angry right now. Fuck this guy.

I don't think Jamie plays much of a part in that decision, I am not a fan of his but I don't think the hate should be placed on him in this situation, squarely on woolworths who are only looking out for shareholder returns by not taking on the cost themselves with their billions in profit - the money they could have lost by not passing the cost on could have been tenths of a cent from their returns! :P

Fucking arseclowns.

Jamie's opinion is that the farmers union or whatever it is, should embrace the charge to help Aussies eat better fresh foods, Josh.

I do the same ads, and it doesn't matter if it's a drop in the ocean.
The best thing you can do is just tell people you do that and why.

A lot of people, a few of my mates for example. Just don't think..
Its not that they are choosing to buy from woollies/Coles, its they don't even think to look anywhere else. Which makes it even harder to get through.

It comes down to the back pocket, people look after theirs before considering anyone elses.
Funny thing is, my local fruit/veg & Sunday market is 2 to 3 times cheaper than the supermarkets.

We've been buying fruits and veggies from the local fruit market for a while now, and I find their prices be to good, but the quality of their produce is much better than what you find in Coles or Woolies. The food also seems to last longer, and apparently it tastes better.

In a late evening emergency, if we need something and the fruit market is closed, then yeah, off to coles, but that is not a regular thing
