Seems like that may be the case. Talking about shoes, I bought a pair from Catch of the Day. Nice and cheap pair of Onitsuka Tigers for everyday use. Bought Jess a pair of indoor boots last night as well from the shop I used to work at. $110 RRP, I got them for $55 on staff discount. I love having connections.

He'll see the question soon enough. He's pretty reliable when it comes to catching up on the GT. ![]()
I've just never actually known what the repercussions would be. Is it only Subaru's that have this warning? I never noticed similar warnings on my VL and VS, or my parents VY and Prado.

Wrecks your shoes

I've gotten over that phase. I just fill up till whenever it clicks. I don't bother with getting even dollars any more, unless I've only got cash on me that won't cover a full tank.

If the tanks full it dosnt alow for any expansion
So it's possible for the fuel to spew out if it sits in the sun.
Ah ok, fair enough. I thought it would've had more severe reasons. Why doesn't every other car have the same warning? I've only known it to be on Subaru's. ![]()

It's more of a common sense thing......
Subaru owners must lack that then.

I've always wondered, what happens when you go against the warning on your petrol cover and do overfill your tank? What harm can be done?
And the harm that overfilling causes is?
Engine will blow.
Well, not really.
The official line is it may enter the charcoal canister.
Having said that, cars have fuel-vapour separators to prevent this; plus the fact that engineers idiot proof cars especially in the areas of emissions.
I have for years filled my cars until my shoes are wet, with no ill effects.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Well there you have it. Thanks for clearing that up Jase. Great to know things like this however insignificant it may be.
