Should be able to blow through freely - give it a good dose while clicking. Sounds like it may be gummed up.

After pulling it out of the quarter and testing again. The clicking I was hearing was the fuse box. I have no click and no air able to get thro even from the air compressor (set on 20psi) sprayed the hell out of it. So I think I'm up for a new one. Would a MAC boost soilnoide be an ok replacement? Have you put 12v directly on the solenoid to confirm its buggered and not a wiring issue? Just to be 100% sure.

Any 2 port 12v solenoid would work in its place.

We'll got bored today so pulled out the solenoid again, good news it has decide to start working. But only on an external source. So fun times trying to work out the wire problemsAttached File  image.jpg   138.06KB   12 downloads Been searching all afternoon for where these 2 wires go but with no luck. And I little confused on where to post this problem. Twin turbos or electrical issues.

Dude that sucks? They should feed back into the ecu via the the fender loom

Does the plug have a good solid connection?

If you still need the solenoid after looking around...just get back to me

That boost control solenoid does NOT click in "D" mode (Green plug diagnostic mode).

Snowball offered his help.... you should jump on that quick smart if you are close enough to him.

I'd be checking there is a restrictor pill in the primary turbo outlet vac line before you do anything else.

It's the small line from the turbo that tee's into the wastegate & also the vac line that runs to the boost control solenoid.

Pics of it's location in here....

So just got the computer connected an have this code from what I understand it's
- Faulty wastegate solenoid
- Wastegate solenoid harness is open or shorted
- Wastegate solenoid circuit poor electrical connection
So I'll do some more research and find out what's going on

http://www.veloce.pw...PDFs/wiring.pdf

Might be wothwhile seeing where the wires to the solenoid end up and check reistance with a multimeter?

Bunch of other stuff here as well

Cheers for all the help guys. Also decided to install a boost gauge to help see what was going on Attached File  image.jpg   231.27KB   9 downloads note this is only a temp install so I can see what the car is doing. Also I know the car is filthy just got back from camping, will be giving a good wash tonight. As from taking a break from working out the boost problem I have started building the holder for my gauges. Attached File  image.jpg   109.71KB   10 downloads I am a big fan of the defi holders but finding it impossible to find one that's not a ridicules price. So I got the old dash from my half cut, glad wrap, expander foam and some fibreglass. Not sure how it will go, but no harm in trying.Attached File  image.jpg   225.57KB   12 downloadsAttached File  image.jpg   166.56KB   9 downloads Still not 100% on what to put in 3-4 gauges. Boost, Egt, a/f ratio, oil pressure. Anythig you guys wouldn't bother with or put in something different?

Solenoid should be 30-34ohm

Diagnostic procedure attached..

Attached File  DTC_P0245.pdf   21.47KB   15 downloads

If the wire to the ECM isn't pulling down to near GND (0V), my bet is the solenoid has gone low impedance (< 30ohm) and the ECM can't pull the required current to turn it on. You probably can't test this in situ, as you need the ECM to activate the solenoid - Bosskong reckons the test mode doesn't do this.

Mines a bit shit - but this would fit three of the bigger gauges in a down/up/down fashion:

I was thinking of getting them for a permanent install there but 2 thing 1 I like the pockets haha and 2 I found to see what they are doing, I didn't like taken my eyes of the road when I put the foot down to check for changes.

And where do you keep getting all this from. I search for hours make phone calls even went to subaru and come out with nothing. Then jump on here and bam there ya go haha.

Duncanm's a legend.

So where are you at with the CEL?

I suppose you'd swap the solenoid (Cue Matt) then if that doesn't work, get an auto electrician into action.  Shouldn't take them too long I would imagine.

I noticed his helped me out heaps on this build.

Plan I think now is have good read of that new file and give it a go a least. Then Still not not be able to work it out and contact Matt and try another soilinode. Then take it to somebody that knows what they are doing. After all that's done I will look back I think I should have done that in the first place haha

These are all pages out of the Liberty FSM, which I managed to snarf from somewhere.

Can't remember where I got it from - I'll see if I can find a reference, but try here for starters http://sl-i.net/FORU...hp?f=14&t=28539
