So I've gone thro with a multimeter and not sure if it's just me. But from everything I checked it should be working. So I'll be taking it into a auto elec next week. Bit far from Melbourne to go get everything checked out. But cheers again for the offer snowball.

On a happier note tho I got the fiberglass on my guage pod, just need to do the filler, sand it and wrap in vinyl (try match the dash).Attached File  image.jpg   119.44KB   11 downloadsAttached File  image.jpg   102KB   11 downloads

Are you going to wrap the vinyl yourself or is that a job best for an autotrimmer?

I went and seen the autotrimmer here in Bendigo (Dantrim) was a really good guy said he would give me some tips as I explained I want to do as much myself, also said what's the worst that could happen just take it off and retrim it. But one thing a have to do is get my gauges so I can cut it out. I do want defi to match the cluster, also as people have said one of the most accurate and trusted. So it might be a few weeks until this project is done. Might just get a boost guage for now use that as a template to cut out the others. Then I can add to it later.

But it's coming along just new to shave a little more with the dremel.

Well thought I should let everybody know that's I have fixed the soilinode problem. As glad as I was that it was an easy fix. It was crap that it's took this long to find out. *drum roll* it was a plug under the dash that wasn't connected. But happy to say just wow on the power I'm getting now.

I'm able to now start writing down a few thing that I'm going to be adding to this project and will post that sometime in the next few days.

With saying that I've read a few things that say there is no point with bigger injectors or header spacers ect is this right?

Great news about that plug mate.

You will only need bigger injectors, if you are going to make more power, ie more boost / E85 etc

The header spacer, I am not sure what you are talking about.

Maybe you mean inlet manifold spacer/insulator, reduces heat transfer between the manifold & the heads.

Cheers

Haven't been able to do to many mods lately, been saving for a couple of bigger things like front mounts, bigger exhaust, 4 pots and wheels they will fit behind.
But I have managed to get the monsoons from getting the part number from here. Thanks for the helps on that one. Got them for about $180 so not a lot more than importing second hand ones. Plus I got new clips new tape and instructions.

I'm very happy with the way they look.
They other mod has been one is a simple one but I find very important.

I know the car needs a clean.
The reason for this isn't because 'Race car' but we lost a friends car after a camping trip on our way home last year. And it was hard to watch a good car burn to a shell when it could had been saved for $30.

Nice. I will be installing an extinguisher before the drive to HVC.

I pulled the carpet back first to check on what's behind. All good except except for plastic that goes to under seat vents(but you would know that I'm guessing)and depending if that's where you install it. Only down side is seat will not go all the way forward.
Been thinking of that cruise but as I said above I need the upgrades. Bov is leaking so it's capped atm and the exhaust I have on is 2 1/4. But I'll see what happens.

Theres a guy on ozfoz that makes mounts for the passenger seat i believe, still looks tidy there though

I was thinking of that and how it's mounted I might do some research on that. Cheers for letting me know where to try and track one down if I change my mind.

Under-seat is a pretty easy option - I made mine out of Al flat stock through-bolted with the seat rail bolts.

Left/right placement is pretty critical to avoid foouling the seat slide or release handle

Made mine similar to that as well. With the GC8 seat and positioning it fairly low I can move the seat all the way forward without it fouling.

It's ok I like it there, still looks neat and I can still get it by leaning with one hand.

So i managed to get the car out for a track day Monday and learnt a lot about my car and what needs to be done. But anything other than research is all i will be able to do for 6 weeks. Was out on the bike and i got in a bit of an argument with the pavement at 100km/h couple of days ago.

About to get out of hospital so ill load some photos of the track day when i get home. And if anybody is interested i can get some photos of my accident (Not for people that cringe easily tho)
