Good tools are definitely worth every penny. I'm at that point where I have just about every tool I need but have started to upgrade from Supercheap/eBay spec to better quality. I've lost track of the number of cheap-ass 14mm and 17mm sockets I've split!

I'll send you a message later and hopefully lock in a time next Saturday if you're still good

Haha on that topic, I bought a Supatool toolkit for $40 with all the socket set etc in it for a house-office toolkit. Used it on the car and nearly broke half the sockets. Sidchrome/Stanley are worth it, but damn expensive. Someone should do a group buy on decent tools.

Wow Pat, I am keen as mustard to see the end result of this. The aesthetics of your GTB are already outstanding, this hardware in that shell will be great!

Haha funny you should say that, one of my mates has a heap of the Aldi branded tools and hasn't seemed to have given him many dramas yet

And you and me both hey! Haven't even driven the new motor and driveline, just turned it round in the street and parked it and that was that

Do you think the hood liner would be straightforward to cut for a turbo bonnet?

Some of the Aldi hand tools are pretty good although I only use them at work so its minimal, light use.

All the ones at home are Sidchrome.

+12 to bin the bonnet insulation.

Yeah couldn't have picked a worse day but hey it's out!

Saving grace was we had a shade tent thing set up over the car so it actually wasn't too bad as we weren't in direct sunlight
