Interested to see this color, I would have thought the stock gold brems would suit very well with the black on black

Time will reveal it haha, the gold could've looked good but I really despise the colour so it got changed

You could barely call it spinning tyres haha considering there were skid marks all along the next street from one on e85 ;)

Went down to Mark's today to pick up my brembos and post fl mirrors. Silly me didnt to do my research so I didn't know that the tb sti had different backing plates and that's how the rear brakes are mounted, so now I need to source some dogbone adapters

And my brembos revealed

That colour will "pop" against the black!

Like having the incredible hulk hiding under the skin :D

Thanks guys, really love the colour the open spoke design of my wheels should complement it really well.

Didn't think of that Bennie, if only it had the strength to back it up hahaha

Got defected today :/ pokey wheels and tinted tail lights. Getting pinged for the wheels is stupid, the copper reckons that the whole wheel, spokes and everything has to be under the wheel arch. Tail lights I'm not surprised as I thought they were iffy myself

Ah no good mate.

Tinted tail lights are never good, most guys will warn you against them, they also fork you for insurance as well.

It passed the roady with them when I bought it and I told the copper that. His response was "well he shouldn't have a license then"

Not sure if I'll put them back in or not because they are easily visible still

So were they on the car when you bought it? That's dodgy.

But yeah, a dark car with tinted taillights is the equivalent of a "I fork Policeman Wives" bumper sticker.

I think once the lights are sorted you won't get hassled for wheels again.

Haha, I couldn't believe it took them a whole year to get me for it. I hope they don't hassle me anymore, once the brakes are on there's no going back on the wheels

That's bendigo for you. The copper probably didn't have anything to do!

At least in Shepp that's the upside of domestics etc that keep mr plod busy :/

I reckon once you've got those brakes on it'll just be a beacon for them... time will tell.

You could've been really cheeky and asked the officer to see their RWC licence/mechanic's qualification...

Cheers

I hope the brakes don't attract too much negative attention
It's up to their discretion anyway I think haha and I just wanted to get to work, ended up being late

I'm surprised they didn't hit you up for a speeding ticket too - "just because they can"

What did your folks reckon? I know mine would've been "stoked" back then!

I most definitely wasn't speeding at the time so they didn't have a chance

My parents don't mind, they know it's bull about the wheels and that the tail lights were borderline so it's all good.

At least you've got a vehicle that should be easy to roadworthy, just a PITA to go through when you shouldn't be.

Like is said, that's Benders police for you. Highway patrol I bet? And one or two officers? Only asking as a colleague of mine was saying that state wide officers must be working in teams of two when on patrol for OHS reasons.

Best of luck with the roady. I'm guessing you'll do the brakes after this has been sorted?

Cheers

Bennie

PS: Shame there's not a complaints department for this - probably a reason for that!

Don't need a roady luckily because its only a minor, so have 30 days to fix it and take it to vicroads to get signed off

Yeah it was highway patrol, two officers. One about mid 40s who was pretty nice, he checked my license and breathalysed me while the younger one (probably mid 20s) walked around the car and he was a bit of an ass

Hopefully I'll get a set of tail lights quickly, get it cleared and brake install can still go ahead in the holidays
