I didn't even think about the games Shaz... Geez. A lot of antisocial behaviour coming up... :P

I play all my games online with 4-10 mates, so not antisocial for me :)

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Ha ha, same here. Although I do enjoy playing story mode/campaigns on my own at times.

Had a second interview at CBA yesterday afternoon Shaz. It was a very informal one and asked me two or three times whether I had any questions to ask her. Was it an interview to gauge my personality, family background, etc? There was a lot of small talk and discussion about a variety of things as if we went out for coffee and stuff. Contract incoming today for Bankwest.

Yeah, they do those interviews to see if you would be a "cultural fit" for the team they are hiring. One of the big things with big banks, is mkaing sure they hire the right person that "fits" the team, in terms of everyone getting along. Managers get way more engagement out of their team, if everyone works well together.

Yeah E3 this year has some promising announcements. I've been keen on Metal Gear Solid 5 for a while, and was waiting to hear about Fallout 4. I used to play on console mostly, but my PC is barely running things properly now after 6 years. So I am tempted to just upgrade my PC and hold off on the PS4, the only game I'd like to play exclusive to that, is Uncharted 4.

That's exactly what I thought and what Jess and my dad told me too. Good to know. Should I have asked about my remuneration package and stuff with her or was I good to not mention anything about it? Am I safe to assume that would be the next phase when they get contracts and stuff sorted?

Nah wait till you get your contract to start talking salary. That way, you already have a minimum offer in writing, and you can negotiate up from there, based on experience.

Yeah sweet as man. And I can do my cross-checks between CBA and Bankwest if all goes well. Thanks Shaz. Much appreciated for all your help man. I owe you a beer.

Yuppers, what I've done in the past is wait for the contract to written up, since they don't discuss salary at any other time, and then negotiate with the agent or HR, if you are wanting something more. Not sure how it works in banks though, but I've usually gotten at least 5k more when negotiations that way.

Its not hard for them to change a number on a contract. Also just take into account when their annual reviews are, as you'd miss out on it since you haven't been there a year

Unless you are asked up front for your salary expectations. Then you just say 'Well I was pulling in $5k/week dealing, so something commensurate with that should suffice. Keep in mind I have mad skills.'

Yeah, agents do tend to ask what your salary expectations are up front. They get a commission so the more the better.

Mad skills pays bills

I've been dealing with the recruiter/talent acquisition person from the company I have applied for so I've got no idea how the process works.

Yuppers, what I've done in the past is wait for the contract to written up, since they don't discuss salary at any other time, and then negotiate with the agent or HR, if you are wanting something more. That's what I intend to do as well with either role whether I have both offers or not. No harm in trying for a few extra thousand. The Bankwest salary is actually (and surprisingly) really good; for an entry level position anyway.

Should be around 55k IIRC. Is it a Consultant, or Senior Consultant role?

I've given this advice before and you obviously didn't listen, Gaz.

Dissatisfied Kong....

When money is discussed, and they ask why you think your worth more....flop your slug out on the desk and say...
"don't know what I'm worth, you tell me!"

Will help, bosses love the pebis.
