Haha had a job offer today to be a Business and Finance manager for a Car Dealership, Subaru, to be exact.

$46k, working weekends, with commission on top

thxbutnothx

To be fair, there is good commissions (50-150k) but screw that.

Nope.

Probably wouldn't even get out of bed for that one.

I know enough people in that industry that it's put me off of it. I could've had a job in car sales the second I finished my traineeship at Council.

Gaz,

Good news, well done.

Sack,

Good luck with the interview dude.

See, I always thought springs held the car up, so springs determine how the car sits, but shocks determine how it handles.

Spring support the sprung mass of the car and the spring rate (force vs deflection) basically determine the handling at mid corner.

The shock absorbers control the spring oscillations so higher rate/stiffer springs require different valving to lower rate/softer springs and basically determine handling at corner entry/exit.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Thanks for that Jase.

I'm quite tempted by a dude selling his stock billies and springs, which he installed on his outback. Pics look nice, of the ride height.

Since I don't off-road, might as well.

So I found a mint 51E gen 3 wagon I'm going to look at on the weekend. Looks the goods has 11 months rego and at a resonance price too. Only down side is it has no sunroof but I can live with that. And it supposedly only has 120k km on it.

So it will make a great daily while I sort all the bits out for the swap :)

Wooo, offered a job in the city. Still doing home loans, but on a more specialized basis, and more coin. And no weekends

Bit of a trek to the city, but fsck it, yolo.

Good stuff Shaz, city job!

My interview is in the city as well today, so if I get the job there, we'll both be city workers :)

Yeah keen fellas.

Looks like I'll be near town hall. Corner of Pitt and Bathurst streets.

Nice man, that is awesome. I was at World Sq 3 months ago. Interview today is across the road from there, so I'd be close to townhall as well.

More coin is good, didn't think you'd need more coin Shaz, but good good. Lol!

Now I'm even more keen to get my role in the city. See how I go. Should read back to interview advice and questions to ask ;)

To be honest man, all I want is a decent paying job, that doesn't have all the shit associated with a branch manager. And this role has it all. Epic base salary, 13% super contributions, and 20-30k bonuses every 6 months.

I've been working my cubt out now for like 5 years straight, I'd like to scale it back a bit, and have that nice work life balance.
