amen to that.

yeah awesome mate. feels so good to be back in a Subaru. didnt realise how much i missed it. just gotta get some little paint issues tidied up, and replace the intercooler cause it looks like the stock one is starting to develop a small leak. other than that shes smick as!

once i fix my lens this week, now that i have a few weeks of free time im going to clean her up and do some pics

Good to hear man, will be keen to check out the pics. I do like the look of that model shape, not your typical I guess, thats why :)

I did, and I seriously cannot wait to start. I've never been so excited for an opportunity in my life, well, I've never had such an awesome opportunity in my life before. You're obviously looking for something in your field, right?

Give me five weeks for training and a few weeks to get the gist of it all and I'm always happy to help out a friend. ;)

Up to the first episode of season five of Game of Thrones. There's more boob and vag in it than a porno.

Good stuff Gaz, yeah it is a career now, so thats cool. Move up in time, but take your time. No goin to Perth for you anytime soon. HAHA!

Sure man, we'll see what you can do after a few weeks ;)

I think if I could start my career over, I'd look to get into a bank as well. Seems like a good path to chose.

Signed a contract this morning for Bankwest man. After many attempts by my immediate boss in my section, Council have pretty much told me that they cannot offer me a full-time role and due to new trainees being hired as part of their usual yearly program, my last day is the 3rd of July. It sucks but I guess it's good to finally get into a career. No more 'jobs' if you know what I mean.

I'll be based in the North Sydney branch.

awesome mate, congrats on the job. getting into a proper career is always a good thing and definitely when it means you are getting some continuity and full time work

Who is this guy??

no bloody clue. some random who just rocked up

@ Zac

yeah dude, i always said if i got a GR/G3 id get the hatchback, not the sedan. looks wise they are leaps and bounds ahead in the widebody i think.

Thanks man. I was working full-time on a casual rate, but I needed something much more secure and something I can work towards instead of keeping my fingers crossed every second day hoping I don't get the call saying 'we don't need you any more'.

That's it.

I never really thought a career in banking and finance would be for me but after doing my research, hearing about people's personal opinions both from family members and friends in the industry, they have not faulted anything yet. Obviously customer service is a top priority but if you can communicate concisely with people and deal with any nationality whether they speak English well or not, it shouldn't be too hard.

Give it a go man. You never know.

Hell forking yeah!

Nice man, it is different and in a good way. Even the Mrs likes the look of it and says if she ever learned to drive, she'd get one of them

I've heard good things from Banking and finance, not so much from my industry, but meh. Lol!

I'd be keen to work for a bank though, do something more in the finance sector.

Got a phone interview just before lunch with the Test Manager at the RBA

See how it goes.

Was a 1 year fixed term contract as a Test analyst. Paying less than my current role, but I wanted to see what the job was like, because it sounded good.

Being put forward for a few other roles as well, so see what happens

Yeah commerical finance is a big difference to retail finance.

Abide by different laws, different processes, procedures, policies.

Big $$$ deals though

Yeah commercial finance would have a different feel to it, but still, money is money. Huge payouts would be nice :)

Yeah that's it Mark. I've got five years of retail customer service which I can sorta relate to. I am not afraid of talking to people and making conversation and I guess I'll learn all the techniques as I progress. It's gonna be good. :)

See how it goes.

Good on you man. You never know until you try it I guess.

Finance isn't that boring. Depends on how you look at it.

Its good to have an understanding about how investments work.

People are always going to want advice on how to make more money.

That is something I really want to know for myself as well... Right now I'm with Australian Super (just because). Where would I start to get information about choosing the best super and making the smarter decisions of where to invest, etc?

No shit? Rly?

Ha ha.

P.S: I know what you look like.
