Actual fuel consumption of 2010 Forester XS 2.5; 12L/100km city. 7L-8L/100km on a 100km/h highway trip. Have had it hit higher than 13L/100km after bad week of traffic.

You're not doing it right lol...my old car gained over 150km a tank with the latest tune

haha yep agree. i gained almost 200kms after my last tune on the Liberty. Forester picked up a little bit of economy after a tune as well but not nearly as much.

Well seeing as we're all doing it....

Since purchasing I've done 15,000kms in my Gen3 GTB Etune II and my fuel consumption average is 10.15l/100kms.

The E-Tune certainly makes a difference! A bit hard to compare since they're 15 years old + .. However, compared to mine, it's probably worth a couple of L/100km.

I suspect 'E-Tune' was marketing:   http://homepages.ihu...leggymodels.htm

Note the same ECU code shared across models.

Outback(3.0R) likes to be difficult.

Displays 9km/L... which makes 11.11l/100km

Mixed suburb and highway(Peak hour traffic)

Cleaned MAF on the weekend, see if that makes a diff

Foot down is more like 20l to 75l though lol

Oh so I drive without my foot flat? fork! No wonder.

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Yeah... I may be on boost most of the time.

Could be a small error on my behalf. :P

Same ECU but could be different tune. They certainly had more compression

Yeah 14 is about right with city driving. What's the point of having a car like this if you haven't got a heavier right foot from time to time.

Jim my GTR used to run ~16L/100km on average. Higher with more application of right foot. I burned so many dinosaurs each week I needed to sacrifice a fleet of Prius taxis on the altar of Greenpeace to stay carbon neutral.

My Gen IV 30R-B 6sp chews heaps, then the light comes on, I fill it up and we start over.

All that is about 13-14l/100

Off topic but I just did some training on a new model (not a Subaru) which is an AWD 6cly, consumption is rated at nearly 16l/100.

That's getting up there a bit....

I think I actually inflated the global price of crude oil and fuel while owning my Gen2 GTB. 60psi base fuel pressure come at me.

Good guess but no.

Unfortunately it hasn't been released yet.
