Cashed out some owed leave the other day. Thanks to the @$%@%^#$%^@! TAX man I didn't get much out of it, but enough to order a few things and get the car booked in for a service and may even look at a re-tune to clean up the mid range (maybe see if there is anything left in the 16g)

  • New alarm - Monday
Replacing the 16 year old, no one has parts for, company has gone bust/bought out many many many years ago, installed at the factory and busted beeper thing alarm
  • 24mm custom bent rear sway bar - Next week sometime, I hope
The bar is being done by shelby sway bars and is just a copy from the whiteline 22mm rear for the RS

Also getting general alignment etc done. The rears have a bit of toe in atm, also going to get a little bit of camber dialed in to help tuck in the koya inox-1's (pics on the GX thread) into the guards a bit.

They make a nice bar Richo. They're nice and Dark yellow. ;) I've got the custom 27mm. However It may be a bit big for my purposes. You sound like you are really enjoying your car. Good to hear.
As Tony Montana would say:
In this country, you gotta make the money first.
Then when you get the money, you get the power.
Then when you get the power, then you get the women.

The bar is black, but wow, its thick :D Grabbed some Pirreli P7's to replace the ling long 667's the other day. Only grabbed these as they were on special. Every place I went to was pushing them. Asking about anything else was met with resistance and even KU31's were $270 a tire. Not a massive amount of grip, but the turn in has caught me off guard a few times. Its like night vs day. Anyhew, first post will have latest pics

So, spoke with Doug (DTRally) today about options for more power. After a bit of umming and ahhhing and a phone call, got offered a 257 w/99 heads (v5) and possum bourne cams, oil pump, sump, extractors and a few other things for what can only be described as a steal. Still going to need a bit of work to get it in the car, but im seriously thinking of it. Prolly chuck a 20g on there for now too. C&C's welcome

I think 2.5ltr, cams, 20g and 440's (may investigate more, say 550's) might be out of the reach of an RS + VOS chiped ECU.

We have a few good tuners over here and if I need (for any odd reason) a different ecu, the SM4 is probably something I would look at Also "It's a brand new out of the crate short engine, the heads and the rest of the stuff are MY2000 WRX with Possum Bourne camshafts and stainless equal length extractors" So Dyl, yes, EL's
