Well progress has been slow (dang busy for a new work shop! I hope its going good for em, seems to be), but thats ok. A little bit of fiddling has been done with the throttle area and calls made about converting everything/best paths to take with getting the new motor to work with the link.

RS motor when I was there had the water drained :D Never realised just how long it too for all the water to come out.

I have boost withdrawal.. specially driving a car like this, 'cept much more bunky spec :D

I know what you mean about not having any boost Richo. I was driving this for a few years when my subarus have been off the road. I thought I could help it along but.....

I drove it... Like 2Km's and gave it nothing at all due to peak hour traffic (like maybe 1/4 throttle). It drove very smooth. Not bad considering it has not been tuned for the new setup :D still sounds boxery overview of the motor

Well done Richo.
Should go like a scalded cat.
I'm very jealous. :drinks:

.... car goes quite alright... on wastegate pressure (~6psi) it feels as good as the old setup on 9psi. although im not using all the rev range and im not sure I hit 100% throttle, seat of the pants dyno says 140-160hp. ~135km down, ~700kms to go then tune time!

Cheaper than the motor itself (which I managed to get quite cheap) :) upto 7.6k now and there is still the tune to go. I'm sure it could be done cheaper, but I'm happy to pay for someone who has been working on subaru cars for so long to use their knowledge. I asked Doug to go over the car looking for rooted bits and replace it. Few things were done, few dodgy bits fixed and few parts upgraded at the same time. Also brake pads and rotors skimmed. Could have saved ~ 1k if they just jammed the motor in.

Hi, I agree. Do it once. There's always going to be some troll that tells you you paid too much and got ripped off blah blah blah. But in the end, people suck and you're happy with it. Nice. Cheers, Nik
