Looking real good Richo.
What did it end up making power wise?
I read the thread but couldn't see any graph or figure.
As Tony Montana would say:

Then when you get the money, you get the power.
Then when you get the power, then you get the women.

hasn't been on the dyno yet, but I was putting down 12.9 @ 106, I think there is more left in it. so that puts it in the 250hp area

injectors are close to max for what the tuner is happy with. I would like more now... I might look at getting the injectors decapped and a retune (maybe even with a dyno run this time haha), but I have to get the center bearing replaced first

If you haven't changed the pistons to forged then it may pay to keep it around your current level. I couldn't see in you specs that you got forgies.
Sounds like 180 or 190ishKW at the wheels which is still a bloody fast car.
Be happy or be poor.

just a 257

When I say I want more, I don't mean running 25psi or anything like that. Maybe 3-4 psi more max.. 280-300hp would be a nice area. I doubt I would have much of a longevity issue... its on vacuum most of the time hehe, but I hear yuh

so, squishy breaks... we (Doug and I) thought the car had the standard RS master cyl and with the bembhoes, it was just a shitty feel to the pedal. Was going to get the bigger one put on today and ... nope.. it already had a 1 1/16 on there... and its McRooted, yay

Hi,

Brakes are important. Nice to hear you're getting them sorted.

Always good to have confidence in the stoppers!

Cheers,
Nik

Exhaust leak fixed and some fuel pushed out of the cold start/run

With the change in weather, for some reason it just started to get really fuel/smokey on cold start, but oh my the lumpy lumpy idle :D

which is gone now.. :(

Less fuel+less smoke=more engine life.

Nice.

They're busy with everyone

When I was in the other day (to pay) they had 2 engine swaps waiting, 3 6spd conversions, couple of other cars sitting there and repairs waiting for the rally cars.

General fix of a few wear and tear items showed the exhaust was on its last legs. It looked like mild steel and was rusty and beaten up. Put an ultrex 3" job on there and started having serious serge issues and the car won't make more than ~13.5 psi. Its not noticeable until its trying to make boost. The eboost has 3 settings, 1 and 2 (10 and 12 psi) are not an issue and the car drives fine.

Anyway, spent a few hours and 1/2 tank trying to tweak the eboost thinking it was just some odd issue with the new zorst and how the eboost was able to control the wastegate. I managed to get boost back to 15.x, however it was spiking and dipping all over the place, few more tweaks and i was getting 16.1 - 16.3 and fairly stable.. but the surge was still there (ps, fork me, this car takes off at 15 psi.. 13-14... meh, 15.. weee)

Off to stechnic I go in the morning.. I got home at 3:30

We played with the eboost more
Changed where the eboost is reading pressure by moving from plenum to IC pipe just past the turbo outlet (14.1 psi max now..)
played with the eboost more
Added a restrictor pill.. 17.3 psi... whoops
Played with the eboost more

TL;DR and the end of todays, well Thursdays story - New zorst seems to be highlighting a potential issue with the tune or some other type of fault. Car is booked in for some dyno time on the 2nd at ASG to find out what the shit is happening

Didn't we discover an exhaust leek back in September?

Hopefully sorted out soon, this thing is a weapon!

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

There was something coming out of the zorst back then, not sure what. Had a leak or three from the headers in the past. Anyway I've not seen it since and I beat up on it a hell of a lot the last few days with nothing interesting happening.

Me too. When I can save up some more cesh monies, going to get the lads (after having a chat about options) to build up a new donk. Slightly higher compression, low boost but high Tq. There is a car on their hoist currently with 2.5ltr and 20g.. 15psi and 350hp! mad!
