Hey guys.

Thought I'd start a build thread on my new car.

I had been wanted new car for the last two or three months and on the last day of my work holidays decided to go have a look at a range of different Subaru's. By luck I stumbled across this mint 2008 XT Premium Auto with 97,000kms and full service history and couldnt pass it up. I picked the car up last tuesday its been fantastic. BOOST is so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(So yes guys that means my beloved Outback will be up for sale.)

There where many things that drew my to this car but one of the biggest things was the optioned body kit from Subaru. I love these Forester's but the fronts without the body kit look like they could wade into water.

Anyway these are my future plans:

- JDM optioned grill
- Proper window tinting (Yes ill be tinting over the privacy glass)
- Cat back or Turbo back exhaust (people's experience with this one would be great)
- Tune to go with above (people's experience with this one would be great)
- Lowered but not dumped (people's experience with this one would be great)
- Possibly new wheels. Not sure what though

Hey Chris, nice pickup.

If you're going to get it tinted, go 20% on the front windows, and 35% over the rear privacy glass. That will make it look nice and uniform darkness.

Worked on all the SUbarus I've tinted.

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Build thread for this is up before OMR's lel.

Mods sound good. Make sure you get the tune lined up before the exhaust and stuff goes on. Dont want to be melting any pistons. Might be worth investing in an oil pick up as we mentioned, mainly for peace of mind. As for wheels i reckon some nice 18x8 +48 would be mad.

Hey guys.

So since having the new car Ive done a couple of things to her

The first one being tinted windows. Decided on 20% on the front windows and 40% on the privacy glass windows as it was the best match color wise.

Next was a full detail. The car had minor abrasion damage to the paint and a host of other minor paint defects. The car was given a decent wash/claybar and a three step cut and polish process then finally a sealer to finish it off.

Also had the Forester badge removed

IMG_5075_zpsqyp0ykkd.jpg

Finally a mid spoiler I bought arrived from JapanParts. Its brand new and came already painted and is a perfect color match. All it needed was double sided tape to hold it on which was already on it.

I have made the move after owning a Turbo Liberty RX sedan.

Too bad about rear lip, otherwise you could go STi quad tips. Ozfoz have SH CBE and TBE every couple of weeks.

Hey guys.

Just a small update this time.

Received the JDM sports grille recently and installed it.

Interesting having to take three quarters on the bumper off to remove and install the new grille was interesting but got it done.

Old grille

New grille looks tops, the stock doesn't suit the JDM bumper.

Get a full car photo up.

Hey guys. So its been a while since I last posted on here and a few things happened since.

The first thing to happen since last posting was just a small update. Which entailed of an EzLip and a cheeky STI badge for the lip. Much cheaper over all than the actual STI option front lip.

The next thing was the most obvious. Exhaust and tune.

Exhaust of choice was the 3" Invidia Q300 TBE and a costum tune from HCW. Achieving an increase from 129kwatw to 153kwatw and a much better delivery of power. And an awesome rumble.

And the most recent update was a new DAMD flat bottom steering wheel. WOW!! What a differnce the steering wheel has made. So much nicer.
