New Stuff..
20140118_142424.jpg

So Purrrdy

Also got the 2Pot Rears now..

After the last Track Day the Brakes got errm.. HOT! so hot in fact i cooked the highest temp off the Rotors and all the paint on the Calipers has turned almost black instead of Blue it was.. so i think its time to strip them and repaint again..

Need to decide on a new colour scheme... maybe Black with Orange Decals...
but i do like my Bilstein Blue /Yellow combo i had last time...

Also going to pull the intake off
and finally recoat in STI Cherry Red Wrinkle Coat.

I'm so over waiting for the front bar to be completed.. farken Spray painters are so un-reliable  :dash2:
Hopefully its done next week though (or so they say)

Got the new Cluster on the way
Went with the standard GTB with 8k Redline and 240KM STI Speedo
So ill have to rip that apart and take to it and change to colours as i cant stand the stock Green :o
Orange all the way now haha.

Finally i am going to do something about my Funky peeling L7 Grill

Going to sand back the flaky Silver shit and go over it with Black Matte paint.
I would really much prefer it stayed silver but thats not a cheap exercise

Should be able to get some of this completed in the next fortnight so Photos to come :D

Should also add to the list. Re install my headliner and add foam pads on the sunroof drain so it doesn't squeek ;)

I might try make this week. Do we have any new recruits these days? Or has Ashley scared them all away with his talk of dead strippers in boot etc? Dad is going away bushwalking for a month on Thursday so might be doing a 'family dinner'. Car doesn't look any different ATM besides a different in guard POD intake lol Buying a OEM B4 muffler soon hopefully to make it nice and quiet again, heat wrapped headers and cats. Have to get PS pump rebuilt as well. Doing Timing belt at home once I save some money (About to have my wisdom teeth out) then after that, try and get up to Wangarrata to get my front, rear and lip painted by the missus dad! Want to try some spacers to push the B4 BBS's out a little to. I should hopefully make the cruise. Going to the 100mm event on Saturday, then cousins 21st that night.

Haha Oh yeah. .. It's been so long I forget I don't have a roof lol

It's track spec yo!

When you pulling off the manifold? I want to wrinkle mine black :D But I'm a little scared to take it all apart Solo lol

Cheers mate,
I found the Screen is actually tinted Green,
I tried putting some tinted film (literally cant think of the name of that coloured plastic stuff from school haha) between the screen and the outer screen and it worked but it was just too dark..
barely visible night or day.

Honestly it doesn't bother me anymore.

yea fair enough.. did you ever flip the refractive layer on ur calculator in school? makes it white on black instead of black on white, might give that a go if its too dark and if thats possible on it... all lcd's are made in different ways so might not be possible.

ill keep u posted

So it's been a fortnight, where are the photos? :P

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Sooo. The gtb cluster turned out to be a head fooook.

Finally got it done but the pinout of the cluster is slightly different...
Ended up having to swap the gauges over between the rx and gtb cluster circuit board.
After a bit of stuffing around I got it back in and replaced the globes after some died (I assume from being knocked a few times)

A bit of a side effect of the whole senario is that my yelow top went flat and got me trying to work out why. . Turns out the cluster needs to be connected to drive the alternator. So every time I started the car and ran it to charge the battery I was actually running it flat lol.

On the plus side I fixed the cause of my intermittent air bag light. . (Loose wire under the dash)
Just a ground wire but it was giving me an occasional warning.

Also im not sold on the colour of the Cluster.. I used orange again but it's much darker and actually turned out Red.. It's what I was originally trying to do years ago but now I have grown so fond of the orange in not sure I like red lol.

In other news in about to get the pain to do the grill so Photos tonight.

But now. It's time to drive my car for the first time in a month!

Does this mean the RX cluster is rooted now haha?

Nick, the RX one is now just a GTB one with RX faces.. It works.. just not correctly haha

also.. just get an auto one.. less rare and you wont use any of that part anyway.,

I'll go get photos when its darker.. you all know what it looks like in the day anyway ^^^^

Also, too cold to paint the grille, ill do it tomorrow.

I just ended up with PlatiDip.. so we'll see how that goes.
