Must've been a good feeling driving the RS up and back!

Shame about that issue with the heads. I'm guessing you've still got lifter tick noise? In which case I reckon you need to replace all the lifters. Engine out would be easiest. FYI the NA EJ22 lifters are exactly the same units that run in the RS heads - but you'll need two NA engine's worth of lifters ;)

If you don't want the heads let me know ;)

Cheers

It has a tick. Probably injectors or heads from sitting so long.

Hey Chris, hope you got your Code 24 issue worked out by now.. If not, that's the ECM thinking that the IACV is stuck which puts it into a failsafe mode, cutting fuel on cylinder 1 hence your misfire. You should be able to fix it just by spraying the valve out with some throttle body cleaner; let me know if the issue still persists, I've been working on mine for almost two months..

Hey Clark, ended up just clearing by itself, on the day I was taking it to my mechanic to look at it further. My feeling is that the injector is straight up cooked because I had the code flash yesterday but not effect the engine at all. I swapped out the IACV and code 24 disappeared so that is that sorted. Car is now running fine apart from the idle being a bit iffy when its cold but that could just be the IACV needing to be adjusted.

Wow I'm slack, not much to report really. Coilovers are in it now, (Tein type HA? I think) Rides pretty well, I was expecting rougher.

Only other things new apart from that is a 1.5din pocket and the set of Advan Rally RC's I'm waiting for (currently in the Import Monster container).

Sorry nothing more exciting has happened, it mostly sits in the shed these days. Tossing up whether I just club reg or not..

Here they are!

Got a flat over night and had to get it quickly repaired, luckily it was only a slow leak.

I knew what it was straight away because the guys at work asked if I wanted to have it taken out but I said no since it had been fine for months before that anyway, guess it got disrupted and caused the leak. Oh well, all sorted now. Sorry about the big as  :fork: picture but I can't be bothered trying to resize it.

Cheers fellas

Yikes. Almost like I've been dead for 3 years. Nothing has really changed with the car. Have a sti 5 speed sitting in the shed for it with a 4.11 ratio rear diff. Gotta get bushes then that's all good to go in. Coilovers came out in 2019 due to one of them leaking. Buying another set of Teins off Chris Darling so I'll have a set and a half for my car. Will be nice not to have a saggy rear end again. Forums are pretty much dead these days hey
