Hey everyone! First time poster. 
My friend owns a 2005 Subaru Outback 3.0 R LL Bean Edition and would like to begin doing some modifications to his car. He wants to start with some cosmetic mods and an exhaust. He has reached out to me with help since he isn't as well versed with car mechanics as me. Unfortunately, when researching about his specific model, I find very very few mods available. I knew it would be quite a challenge from that point. If I'm correct, my friend's car has the EZ30D engine (although you guys call it the EZ30R since it's the updated version?), and the Legacy also has that same engine. If I find an exhaust system for the Legacy, would it work on the Outback or are the headers different. Also, anybody with aftermarket exhausts, it would be awesome if you could help me out. Indeed he has the second generation version of the EZ30, it is a D but is always referred to as the R for ease of use. There isn't much you can do with a H6, small bits wise. The Exhaust for the Outback should be the same, specially the headers, speaking of you would want to be looking at a company called Raptor Superchargers which makes headers for the H6 - http://raptorsc.com....en-ez30-header/ - I would flick them an email regarding fitment. Next up is getting a custom mid section with 2 high flow cats and a 3rd delete. Then just a plain cat back for a total system. See the sound clips below from my car.

 

 

Cosmetic wise as I'm assuming you're in the US by the model of car, I would get his hands on non US headlights, taillights and front and rear bumpers, you guys really got a raw deal with that stuff.
