Hi everyone,

First time posting so excuse me if this is posted in the wrong folder.

I recently purchased a 2006 Impreza R, 4 speed auto. Not long after having the car the check engine light came on (and cruise control light), however no obvious hinder to engine performance or the way it was running. I took it to the mechanic and it came up with the codes P2441 and P1410, relating to secondary air intake. I do notice that the car is very slow to accelerate and get going after a cold start, even after a minute or two warm up in the drive way. However I've only had the car a month or two so cannot conclude if it is typical for the model or if its an issue with my car.

I have seen people selling block off plates, but I'm curious as to weather or not this is worth getting it done. Will it cause any damage ect doing this? is there a more common solution.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Regards, Jordan

Something doesn't seem to add up.

The Impreza R never came with a turbo.
So it wouldn't have the secondary air pump system.

Clear the codes and see if they come back.

I bet they won't.

I had the codes cleared, and unfortunately the CEL came back on. Havent checked if its the same code or not yet.
