Very carbonated. The cork almost popped out on its own.
Very hard to pour, it wanted to turn into foam... although I blame AMSs' dirty glassware..... so totally not me

Quite dark - orange-y brown thing happening
** Yeast tastes may or may not be something else.. its what it reminded me of.

Sounds to me like your beer was OLD and not transported/stored in a very good fashion.

Excessive foaming is usually an indication of bottle impurity or sometimes too high a serving temp - unlikely with that brew though, so I'd say it's copped a lot of heat in transport/storage resulting in the foam.
Dirty glassware will impede head, not increase it.

might have been a factor, it wasn't as cold as I would have liked
"I'd say it's copped a lot of heat in transport/storage resulting in the foam"
would not surprise me :/
Don't get me wrong, it was still a fairly nice drink. I guess for something staying within the rei.... "retarded bavarian purity law" ....ghooot, it was a very good brew

I don't know how to say it or spell it, but I was under the impression the original purity law did not mention yeast.
Wild yeast would suffice I suppose?!

Note that no yeast was mentioned in the original text. It was not until the 1800s that Louis Pasteur discovered the role of microorganisms in the process of fermentation; therefore, yeast was not known to be an ingredient of beer. Brewers generally took some sediment from the previous fermentation and added it to the next, the sediment generally containing the necessary organisms to perform fermentation. If none were available, they would set up a number of vats, relying on natural yeast to inoculate the brew.

I put down a mix up cordial style IPA yesterday.
This time temp controlled, it is sitting between 20 and 22 degrees with a fairly slow air lock bubble, Im not surprised though
