Red can brew a nice beer, pain in the ass to open however. I feel I should actually say more than.. yum..

http://www.abstrakt.com/product/ab04 - 3200 bottles all gone... so why does mine say 2xxx of 3300 :D ... hand written number too Josh ;) hehe

Aroma:

Smells much like a stout should.. oh, whats that, a little bit of coffee.. a slight fruity sweetness ? *sinffs deeper* hooooolllyyy, so there's the 15%

Taste:

The coffee is huge at the start, and so is the sweetness from the booooooze. Its bitter, but balanced with malt quite well I think. Its not strong, really mellow (how long was it aged/fermented for ?)

I'm about 1/2 way though now and being its so freaking hot in here (whats a/c) its warming up really quickly. The chocky is coming though even more now.

top 5 brew right here... did he keep the recipe :D

*Please note.. Nothing about chilli.. is it there ? There is a slight tingle in my mouth ? but shit, im drinking something @ 15%

This taste like a cross between soda water and almost identical to one of the first Home brews I ever made.
If this wasn't made from a kit I do no know what was.

I honestly do not think this even Resembles an IPA,, for that matter it really tastes more like a German Lager than an Ale.

I do enjoy it though.

So Nik... I will be in Dubya Aye from the 25th March to the 1st April. (My birthday week so I am doing something different :D)

Got a day or anything you are free to either make some beer or at least drink some during that time?

Richo I expect to have beer with you too :D

Hi,

I will make sure we are doing a brew when you're here mate. Shoot me some firmer details when you get a chance, where you're staying ETC.

I think I fly back from Fiji around the 25th.

Cheers,
Nik

Hi,

OK. Well we'll organise it by tomorrow afternoon so we can give you a solid date, Richo. Plenty of room at my house now my cousin has headed off to bigger and better things.

Also, if we can agree on a style to make, I can order everything and have it ready.

I'll post up my grain bill and you blokes can have a fart around dreaming up a recipe.

Josh: I'll just change my Fiji flights so we can bring you down here in my car. Then you can go back with Richo???

Cheers,
Nik

Sounds like a plan.

But moving your flights back from overseas sounds like a bit of effort on your behalf? what date did you say you get in and what time? I arrive at Perf on 25th at 8am WA time.

I would have thought you would want to get home and get settled and stuff first though? upto you :D

Tayberry. Im drinking it.. I love it...

its lost aspects of the yeast the normal bashah has, but its been replaced by a mellow taste I don't know how to describe (the flavours you get from most barrel aged beers). The chocolate is going so well with the berry.. Alcholic liquid black forrest cake ??
