Tried my homebrew stout, that I used aniseed lollies to carry out secondary ferment with, last night. Only been bottled 1.5 weeks but it's soooo much better than I though it would be. The aniseed does dominate the flavours though. I'd do it again, but use less aniseed lolly.

Sig worthy.

Hi Jase,

Try this;

http://moobrew.com.au/store-locator

I'd call first though, heaps of stockist lists on the internet are out of date.

Kosciusko is Chuck Hahn. Pretty big name in Australian brewing!

Budjoveicki Budvar is awesome. It's the original Budweiser, but don't let that fool you, it tastes awesome. I still buy a six pack pretty much every time I'm in Perth.

Cheers,
Nik

what? Budvar rubbish? Id put it up there with Pilsner Urquel tbh.
@ Jase - The Wingwalker Belgian Wheat Ale is really hoppy. Infact AMSy I think you'd like it. Think of it more like an APA but with a wheat malt finish.

Sig worthy.

ooh nearly forgot. Had to drop off some beer at Cellarbrations Carlisle last night, so figured Id pick up a couple while I was there.
Temple Midnight IPA, and Collaborator (Feral-Two birds collaboration brew done especially for Good beer Week Spectapular)

Also picked up a 4 pk of Hop hog, simply because I wanted an awesome, no thinking, beer to drink when I got home.

We were drinking half litre steins of Budvar for about $2aud when we were in Prague. Fricking win, and went so well with the local Goulash and potato dumplings.

Sig worthy.

Hi,

Was there some sort of recompense offered?

Did you drink the Temple? Very keen to hear what you thought.

Cheers,
Nik

Didn't have either the Temple or the collaboration last night. Just the Hogs.

Sig worthy.

local Goulash and potato dumplings.

Was the Goulash more like a soup or a stew?

More like a stew Jase.

@Nik - having the temple midnight ipa. Meh. In all honesty I prefer 'legs Black market. There's a hop characteristic which isn't working for me. Bramling cross maybe. The 7% is certainly not apparent. Could consume many of them.

Sig worthy.

Hi,

Wow. It must be shit out of bottle. It absolutely blows Black Market away.

Cheers,
Nik

it wasn't shit, but the pint of Black market I had around at the leg last week was pretty Posted Image'ing good. It might just be a preference thing. I just didn't think the hops were right for it.

Sig worthy.

Sierra nevada Hoptimum. HOLE E SHEET. Soooo much hops. Whole hops too. Big Grapefruit citrus flavours. Epic sweet malt backing it up too. Which isn't surprising considering its 10% ABV.

Sig worthy.
