No one seems to make exhaust tips that are big enough so I cant get a different tip. If it continues to melt (we'll find out today after a trip to Syd) then I'll pop rivet some heat sheild to the exhaust cut out.

it is pathetically small , real small, like 10mm small. I've never seen a RSB that thin lol.
Also check out your front , again anything like mine it will not need changing.
Seeing as you have the 2.5 they might be different but worth checking out before you go and buy some.

Uber ghetto spec Morgs.
Cut the tip off, weld in a short section of pipe and weld tip back on. Simple.
IMO this would look neat as you cant really see much unless you get under the car.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

The araldite is drying now. Hope it works.
AUDM dont have extra lights so the plugs have misisng components.
The globes in the Legacy one are dual filament too...

Why the Legacy garnish?
I could understand if you were driving a Liberty wagon/sedan. But an Outback...
Looks good anyway, but it's now a car with an identity crisis. I'd expect low self esteem and some erratic behaviour for a few weeks, until it decides what it is, Legacy or Outback.

If thy tint is dark and thy wheels are black thou car be declared b11tchin'
So you can run it on 6psi with an rx fuel pump?

You need to tap into the lighting wiring in the LH QTR panel (where the towbar harness plugs in - take out the jack etc, undo all the clips and screws to take off the trim).
Get a test light (or mutli-metre if your a fancy pants French man) and find the stop and tail light wires.
Solder one wire on each of them (mark them or use different colours so you don't forget) and run them up the QTR panel and thru the rubber tube/boot jigger into the tailgate.
Run it down the tail gate and across to where the globe is on the LH side of the garnish and join the wires upto the O.E JDM harness (which should already be earthed from factory), piggyback it across to the RH side.
Just jerry rig it and press the brakes, or turn on the parkers to see if they work.
Can't remember what colours etc etc.
EDIT - this might explain (he used the RH side thou, and not very detailed) - http://www.ausubaru....ead.php?t=14967
I has a Legacy garnish too...

I'm not quite sure, but my lower light (not the reverse light, the red one underneath) of the centre rear garnish doesn't do anything even though it has a bulb in it?? Is this normal or should it light up? It's all wired up but I'm pretty sure it doesn't turn on.
Thats because you have an AUDM garnish. There is a blub there but it's not wired up to do anything.
Overseas, there is a single foglight at the rear of many different cars and I think that's what this is for.
The link Luke posted above is a DIY from a guy who hooked up his AUDM garnish to support those lights.

Ah sweet so it'll be the same to hook them up so that they're brakelights also?

Then wire it all up and use dual-filament globes. These have ...2 filaments in them so that when tail lights are on, the light is on but when you brake, the same globe gets brighter
