Any scrubbage issues with the standard height suspension?
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.
It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

Thanks Jase. Its nice having a bit of off-road ability. And much more fun to drive on the black stuff getting there compared to a 4WDNice one Shiv. It's great to this car being used what it was built for, some owners of large 4WDs should take note.

There's a bit of scrubbing on the mud guard I put on a couple months ago. So will probably just remove that if I can't trim it enough. There's also scrubbage on the rear wheel against the side skirt. Will have to shave half an inch off it to resolve.

4x new springs (1"inch raise)
4x new shocks.
I'm yet to measure the ground clearance, but parked up next to an old 80-Series Landcruiser, my Outback is pretty much on par with under-body ground clearance which I'm pretty happy about. Obviously you can't compare actual 4WD capabilities for obvious reasons (articulation, approach/departure angles, low range etc), but I know that extra ground clearance is going to help me out in the bush.

Rear wheels protrude outwards a little bit:

Also got a Legacy garnish with some tails which have red LED's in the indicator panel (which turn off when you turn the indicators on):

The springs are King Springs Heavy Duty and the shocks are KYB GR-2's. Feels like a new car!
The new suspension coupled with new all-terrain tyres put on last week mean I am eager to get this thing off-road and put it to the test

Nice to see modding on the other end of the usual scale.

It takes the corners really good, the opposite of what I was expecting!
Yes its firmer, but then its also really well damped so it actually feels more comfortable than before....if that makes any sense? Bit hard to explain but yeh it use to roll around a lot in the corners. The OEM shocks are shit plus they were getting on in age a bit(140,xxx kms).
I have to admit I was wrong with how suspension alters the behaviour of the car. I've always assumed that if you raise a car, its not going to handle as well. But I was wrong. This is only a small lift but the springs + shocks make this car feel better than new!
Next on the list....1"inch spacers to give me a bit more wheel travel

That's how I've always gotten in, Aekyou're gonna need a step ladder or milk crate to get in there now though??

Yup, just a spring lift.So this is just a spring lift is it, Shiv?
Giving me bad ideas haha
I considered getting a strut lift first. But that does not increase ground clearance under the car. And limited ground clearance was the biggest limiting factor before...
