So yeah not sure how many of you know but to add to the list of aids related failures I’ve had with my car lately, I blew a head gasket the other week. Since the engine is out and in pieces we’ve decided to rebuild it and fill it with some stronger bits and pieces... CP oversize forged pistons CP chromoly rings STI forged rods Cometic MLS gaskets ARP head studs ACL bearings Bore and hone engine block Parts were ordered yesterday so hopefully it arrives today and we can start building it up next week. Pics and more info to follow I’m also re-building the EJ206 from the GTB halfcut I had. It’s going to have standard 2001 JDM rods and pistons put in as well as a new timing belt. This will be for sale in the next few weeks so let me know if anyone is interested.

so a little update here. Finally. All work has been moved to CDA Engine Engineering in Cromer. Work started today and they reckon i should be driving out of there in two to three weeks. Chris from 2XCESS is doing all the tuning down at Envy Imports. Hopefully have the power tune done before powercruise. Had a look at the build invoice today, $12,800. thank f**k i'm not the one who's covering it!

More better updates shortly.

This is a beautiful GEN II. Beautiful. Such simple exterior modifications, but looks a million dollars.

BTW what's the word on that S12 we talked about Aek. Chuck me some pics if your mate will still let it go.

I need a few more parts before mine goes in...

Going to try sourcing them from the US of A. I have a couple of hook ups here and there, and hopefully it'll all work.

I'm looking around August or September before the next evolution of the sled hits the road.

Yeah. Lets just say there was some "issues" so had to pull the heads off again to check it out. Everything measures correctly meow so that's good

haha it's been an adventure that's for sure!!

Mate I can’t remember when we actually caught up last but I think I may have actually been when the liberty was going if my memory serves me correctly??

Since then I’ve had a Holden Vectra, 85 Subaru Sherpa, 87 Subaru Sherpa, Gen 2 Legacy GT and now the Foz XT (and still the lib)…lol

so as some of you know, she's alive again. i've swapped the Haltech out for an EMS - loaded in a base tune a few weeks ago and shes drivable but not very smooth. Chris is doing the run in tune on Tuesday so i can finally start running in the new engine. did a bunch of cleaning up today. got my new speed sensor installed and wired in all the gauges and cluster and made some new radiator brackets. once the first tune's done we'll wrap all the wires again and do a final clean up of the engine bay. definitely feels like there's light at the end of the tunnel now...

after the run in and before the final tune i'm swapping the tuned length headers for some uel, replacing the up pipe, re-route the fmic piping, swapping the TD05-20G for a TD05-18G and redoing the exhaust from the turbo back...
