LOL, good way to break the STi motor
.
Also in the dry or not at all. Nothing more sad then hearing people doing skids in the wet. Just look like a total wanker.
Wont be hard to sus the issue. Pull the lead of a plug, stick another plug in it and sit it on the manifold. Crank and watch for spark. (Helps if the room is dark too).
If there's no spark, check the CAS.
If there is spark, pull an injector out and stick it in an ice cream container, crank and see if it squirts fuel into the container. If it does, somethings not happening when its supposed to.
Yeah, well what we've found so far is that a plug that sits on the main fuse box in the drivers side footwell seems to be the wrong plug. In speaking with Al up at AMAuto, he mentioned that the loom may have come out of a later month model Heritage, which uses a different plug. We think that this plug is the main plug that powers the rear of the car, hence why the fuel pump isn't priming.
We'll replace the plug, and see how we go. If that doesn't work, we'll check the CAS etc. The injectors work 100%, as i had them tested, flowed, and acid cleaned to make sure so we didnt have to pull em out again. Not sure if its sparking yet, haven't gotten that far.
Fingers crossed its something simple hey.
Plug in question are below.
