damn mate, that sucks..

99% sure them white door plugs, control the rear tail lights & fuel pump. So that's your culprit

Fuel pump wires would be in the driver side plug. (it is in gen2 anyway.)

Hopefully you can just change the plugs over without too much issue, guess that's the risk not sending Al both looms, oh well.

It was looking good last night, just these minor setbacks and then its all sweet! ready for the cruise :).

Yeah, cheers to you and Scott for dropping that radiator up. Worked a treat, slid straight in, and even my old overflow bottle fit!

Yeah, i'm also fairly certain that plug controls what you've said, so hopefully we'll have it fired up at some stage today.
We've been speaking with Al, and he's been super helpful over the phone in dignosing what needed to be done. We're in the middle of organising a new plug to be sent down from SunSpares in QLD. Luckily, they also had the clutch hose we were talking about last night, as well as a throttle cable, and a few other associated bits and pieces.

If you have those radiator mounts though, i might grab them off ya. The ones i have fit, but not 100%, and will eventually change em over. Not a priority at the moment though.

Cheers,
Shazza

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Hahaha.

I sorted out the Throttle Cable, Clutch Pipe, The Bastard Plug (Hopefully), and Rear Heater Hose today (Fyi, VL Turbo top radiator hose suits the radiator perfect)

You don't by any chance have the metal pipe that runs along the top of the radiator do ya Scott? And also, the rubber U-Shaped hose that comes off the brake booster?

Also, do you have the plugs for the fans (The bottom radiator support wiring harness that the fans plug into)

Also, do you have a speedo sensor to suit 5 speed gearbox. (The one that screws into the side of the box, 3 pin)

Cheers,
Shazza

It just needs to be lengthened, but if you have the other ones, it will make it easier to put a new plug on the end.

My fans were 2 pin plugs, the ones i got off you are 4 pin plugs.

Shazza

ah i see yeah the gtb frontcut i had is in my old car that another member on here bought, all i had left was the radiator as it got a different one in it

i think youll find the gtb rad has 3pins but 4 to the fan
all gen 2 liberty/legacy have these plugs, so they will be easy to come by, altho youll have to hook them up as single speed if yours are 2pins

2 wires = single speed fan
3 wires = dual speed fan

this in my understanding ^^^

Yeah that hose Jamie. I might see if I can grab it off you at some stage if need be.

Scott - yeah, the 3 pin are dual speed, but I'm thinking of just hooking it up to full speed constantly.

Shazza

Nah, the gearbox has a cable speedo, which doesn't mate to the harness. And I can't use the one off the auto box I don't think.
We've been speaking to Al, and he's said to get an electronic sensor, that screws into the side of the box?

In other news, all the power windows, sunroof and bits and pieces work. Fuel pump is still not working,

When we plug the Subaru scanner into the car, it doesn't communicate with the body, or the engine. In the passenger side kick panel, there is a brownish relay that isn't clicking, which is apparently a major power relay. Were going to pull the dash back out again tomorrow night and re check all the plugs and ****, and see what has power and what doesn't.

Big props to Al from AMAuto for helping us over the phone. You've been a great help mate.

Hopefully have it all up and running this weekend. Fingers crossed. Anyone on here an auto electrician?

Cheers,
Shazza

Hey mate, there is also 2 & 3 wire speed sensors. (might wanna double check before you buy)

2 wire signal goes to the speedo cluster in waveform and is converted to digital for the ecu.
3 Wire is a digital signal direct from the sender and is shared by the ecu and speedo.

Also be super careful putting them in, there made of plastic for some reason and tend to SNAP! when u put a spanner to them.. biggest headache to get out once that happens trust me :dash2: .
