So put some of the engine back together. New parts so far are,

I also gave the manifold a lick of VHT Wrinkle Red after a bit of cleaning up of the ports. Came up nice.

Is that a specially constructed manifold painting frame?

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Did you get a rear seal too? I would also check the plastic plate covering the service hole behind the flywheel. They crack next to the bolts fairly easy and leak slowly, bit of silicon gasket will sort it out.

Looks great Shazza. Look forward to seeing it in person when it's all done on a cruise one day!

So i got the Injecters flow tested and cleaned.

2 of the injectors were 99% blocked, the other 2 35% blocked apparently.

Is this something i should call the importer about and claim on warranty? $20 per injector to be cleaned.

Cheers,
Shazza

this always happens when injectors sit around.

spray them with throttle body cleaner and hook up 12v across them and tap the plug wires (basically pulse 12v across them) you should here them start tapping when the clear up.

Sounds like it's all coming together, don't forget the minor issue of compliance, you don't want that to spoil everything.

Hey Paul,

Yeah, engineering is something i will start looking at soon.

Didn't end up getting the fuel pump last night, so will probabley order that at some stage today/weekend.
So, we've basically penciled in a weekend for the conversion to happen, the weekend of 11/12/13.

My bday is on the 9th, so i would imagine its going to be a beer fueled conversion.

Excellent.

Cheers,
Shazza
