Hey Shiv, it's really funny dude.

The B4 obviously was an animal and was like comparing a V8 against a push bike, but that's when I was finished with it.

Now- stock vs stock the GT is auto and the B4 was manual.. GT has 184kw, b4 had 191, to be very honest the power delivery and responsiveness is astonishing in the GT, better than the B4 or more refined should I say.

The fact that the GT has a 5 speed auto and a small twin scroll turbo definitely helps achieve what I'm talking about above, there is almost no lag at all.

The GT feels heavier and more solid on the road, but not as comfy as the B4 did, for some reason the B4 felt more agile than the GT does.

If I had to chose which car put more of a smile on your dial when you had a corner ahead of you and the foot down? I would say it easily goes to the B4,

If I had to chose the better looking and more refined? Definitely the GT.

Well put observations.

I can understand the B4 putting a bigger smile on the face and the Gen4 being the more refined of the two in terms of power delivery / performance.

But how come the Gen4 isn't as good in the twisties? I can't remember but did you do much in the handling department of your B4? Does this GT have Billies?

To be honest it's a number of things.. (not sure if the GT has Bilsteins either)

The Auto's don't get the 50/50 F-R ratio like the manuals do, I only get a 70-30 split.
The Auto doesn't shift up and down quick enough and you dont have the same control over it like you do when you have a gear stick
It was easier to power the twin turbo setup through corners than the GT, so hard to explain dude, but in all honesty the B4 feels more like a Rex than a Liberty.

Looks good Brendan.

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

Hi,

I'd love to get beaten by a 17 year old in a red light.

Also, are you sure it's a 70-30 split? I thought that was only JDM... I think you're still looking at 90-10 sweetie.

Cheers,
Nik

I was of the understanding that the newer 5-spd autos in the Gen4's got the 45-55 split. It was the older 4-spds found in Gen2/3's that got the 90-10 split. Anyone able to clarify??

Gotta love Googlez and legacyGT.com

"Default" the traction split on a 5EAT is 44.3% on the front and 55.7% on the rear. Depending on conditions such as hard acceleration, braking, slip, the center differential will transfer torque as needed front/back.
Some people will quote you the traction being 90% front, 10% rear. This only applied to the previous generation 4-speed automatics and no longer true for the 2005 and newer Legacies."

and yerrp, I have the 5EAT box, hence 5 Speed.

Fat head? Lols. Fathead is probably rockin' greys, or a solar panel for he's a baby making machine now!

Brendan. Delay the wedding and get a turbo back exhaust.

The turbo is hardly small. It's wicked. You'll love it.

Mate of mine has a gen4 with ts turbo. It has a tb eggsaust, and fmic, and chops evo 8s, but has a sixslotter.

it lays two pairs of elevens on demand. I'd like to see a ANY commodore/mustang/niki do that.

Need to catch up brother. It has been WAAAAAY too long!

Come tomorrow to Hooters!

Hi,

I have the same box don't I? Sure as fart doesn't feel like a near on fitty fitty split. Understeer city in the wet. That's why I chucked the widest tyres I could on the thing.

I have a mate with a H6 auto who also complains of understeer city in his Gen4 sedan.

99% sure its a fivespeedauto.

Whiteline catalogue will fix this. Not chromed garbage can lids.

Hi,

My BLACK binlids are lighter than stockers, also being 245's I thought I was getting a decent thong on the sand? Also, having STD suspension must be helping? I haven't given her any herbs in the wet since the new suspension went on, and I'm not 100% on playing in the gravel yet (been a LONG time since I drove on the road).

What should I get from the whiteline cat? I have RSB and FStrutB.

What more should I entertain?

Hi Brenda!

Cheers,
Nik

Sways and sway links. This will dramatically improve turn in, and iron out most, if not all, understeer.

For some reason in Oz, in our Subies, we got laughable swaybars.

Your binlids lighter than OEM?

I bet you my left testicle it isn't! Tempe are having you on, bro!

Hi,

Luckily for me, Tempe actually told me they would be heavier. I have a proper digital scale for the grape palacons - so I just weighed it up. I think the major factor, to be fair, is the rubber is lighter, as I've gone from geosquealers to the ecsta's. Tempe definitely did not tell me they were a performance rim, or a 'lightweight' rim either. I knew what I was buying and was surprised at the results on the scales.

Maybe they are hollow?

?

:D

Like I said though, I have rear sway 20mm, and front strut brace... no links though. Could you be a doll and PM me what I really need to add to my car, I'm about to start rally school. So would be nice to know!

Cheers,
Nik
