its in a little plastic enclosure, located on the far left hand side of the dash, sort of behind the glovebox and up to the left a bit. U don't need to get the glovebox out, just sortof reach up behind the dash with ur hand and feel for the unit, then get a ratchet up there with a 10mm socket and u can unbolt it.

Parkers and foggies and reverse lights?
Never seen that before. Sounds cool but.

Just tried wiring up my Keyless entry following this DIY, ran into a problem with my revision Liberty SEP99 turns out I have a very different module,

This module/unit sits directly underneath my passenger (LHS) A/C vent, next to the CRU Module,

I have searched the internet for a pin diagram/information, but have found nothing regarding my revision Liberty or the Part # listed on the module. Will test the module now and come back with results.

Also I hope I found the right module, the single relay clicks when I open/unlock the car... Just very strange!

yeah, unfortunately your module looks totally different, looks like it only has 1 relay on board which would be for the door lock motors.

I think that copper bar that runs around the perimeter is the radio antenna to pick up the key remote signal.

Yeah, turns out all I have is the door open relay and that's it, SEP99 Liberty is A rev. isn't it?

Nah I don't think it is now. Not sure. I found a kill switch of sorts which is connected to the alarm, pretty sure that's not a Subaru standard thing.

Just remember that its 6 locks to enable, 6 unlocks to disable the feature (on later revisions). Mine blinks its indicators and bleeps when I lock and unlock. So give that a go before ripping your car apart lol.

Hey guys, first post, just stumbled upon this while googling for remote locking options for my 00 outback.

I know that the outback's came with remote locking as an option, but when I got mine it didn't have a remote (had it for 12 months now) but figured that I should be able to get that sorted easily enough.

I know that a lot of vehicles where remote locking in an option, they will still have all the wiring in the vehicle, just no remotes. So I went out to find this little box just now, but found nothing... So, my question is, if mine didn't come with it, how easy is it to put it in? I didn't see a free plug that the box would go in to, so would just finding one in a wreckers possibly be out of the question?
