The tyre stretch isn't as savage as all you keyboard warriors make it out to be.
i guess people who don't ever modify their own vehicles will never quite fully understand the culture when it comes to car modification.
Stick to OEM. Might void your warranty y0!
Like if something breaks, take it back to your mechanic, yeah?
That Golf be tits.

Working on a car is one thing.Alex, I have worked on more cars than you have taken shits. I will just come out and say that I have spent significantly more time working them than you have. But we can over look this for the sake of your argument.
Using what you have to get another car up and running, is another. This is where the culture of tyre stretching stems from. MODIFICATIONS.
Not fixing cars with repco parts.
It's about fixing a car with parts that are meant to go on another car.
Let's not go down that path. You may have helped daddy with a few cars, but you have nothing on me.

Pretty gay call mate.
GT is not serious. People come and go as they please, and contribute to the SC community.

But making personal shots is whats gay in my books.
A mile in moccasins and all that.
Sled awaits parts.
Lawns edged and grass is mown. Now to sweep.

Was an old 1800 touring wagon DIGITAL DASH YO! LOL
Ended up stripping the car entirely, windows out etc, gave it a full respray. rebuilt the breaking system in it and then smashed a bigger carby on the thing, had to make up a custom intake to go to an airbox to house the airfilter due to clearance issues with the top of the carby to the bonnet, carby was taller than the previous one.
That model come out with a 4 speed dual range box which was shitty so I then fitted a 5 speed dual range from a later model suby. Custom balanced tailshaft made up and a few other odds and ends such as linkages and CV's and she was sweet.
You are right Alex, Modifying cars is different to repairing them, and can be a very rewarding (and frustrating) hobby

All good, I understand that, I too take offense to being accused of pretty much never having touched a spanner when I have done so since I could barely walk!I'm sorry if I took that sledge a little too personally.
But making personal shots is whats gay in my books.

We digress and should move on

Hugs?

no hooning, dont take it like that, but a carpet ban on all turbos is bullshit.

I disagree.Just realised that If NSW adopts the same P plate laws as Vic (power to weight ban rather than carpet ban on all turbos) which i have heard is in consideration, I will be able to drive an RS turbo or an 04-06 WRX.

Carpet ban on all turbos for juniorburgers is good.
Not trying for an e-battle here (you're too easy), but there's multiple reasons for this. Let's not change it.
Do your time. Learn to appreciate all that there is with road rules and legalities. Then buy a turbo car which you will appreciate all that much more.
