Woah!! never knew that Marv ! Should I just block them off and tell them to piss off? My cold start never worked properly anyway. It's always a dog when it's stone cold (3:16).

Cold start are the coolant hoses that go from your IACV, through the throttle body, back to the crossover pipe under the manifold.

Runs hot coolant through the TB to help the car warm up.

Nothing is more than a dog to drive than a Ecutek tuned B4 when super cold.

After the first km it's perfect though.

Check your coolant temp sensor. That's probably fooked.

I ripped the coolant lines off and blocked off/rerouted the lines on the crossover.

Pretty funny. This pie I am eating is turning blacker and blacker as I touch it with my hands. Epic grease.

Last time I had laptop plugged in, all was reporting OK from the ECU?

What temp did it display? They often won't throw a code, they'll just read incorrectly (the car thinks its running at -76degC)

Was all legit temps. twenty something on startup , goes up slow, fans came on at the right temp etc.. I've burped the system using that and a data scanner before and they were fine. Doesn't matter, it's not a huge cock to do it, just have to restart it and give it some beans if it stalls. After a min or two it's OK. Usually don't drive on it for a few mins at least.

My iavc is blocked off. Still has hoses going to it, but no coolant hole exiting iacv. It's how I roll.

Adam does, he doesn't beer or pubs.

Wouldn't that mean I don't see trouble??

This is why I rip so much stock SHIT out of my cars. That cold start stuff is useless and retarded. Sif anyone would live in an area cold enough to get snow...

Would you know anything about removing the secondary air pump out of my XT?

Only used for the first 20-30 seconds on start up and is known for packing it in between 60-130k kms. Can be a $2500 fix UNLESS you rip it out and block it off...

Haha Iain, I love your ebay username

I can read up on it. Where is it located? Sounds like its an intake thing (and therefore easy enough to replace)

Used to pump air into something on startup.

Really seems unnecessary. If I have the option to remove and plug it up using a $1 cork or leave it alone and have it die next time I start the engine up and cost me $2500 that I don't have, I know what I'd rather.

The earlier XT's don't have this pump.
